Sounds like the cold start system needs looking at . As long as the engine is turning over and firing it should eventually start. Mine had the same problem.

They have seperate stop light bulbs to the tail light which is the uncommon.I think the stop bulbs are 12v 4 watt wedge fit sidelight bulbs,they use them in cars too as sidelight bulbs.the tail light one is a 12v 10 watt bayonet type.

Get yourself an owners manual or a look at the electrical schematic for whatever the hell it is you trying to fix and do the tests

Get a voltage meter and test the wire from the switch your oil light sensor sounds like you have a short or a bad sensor

It's a bad design , you need to remove the two screws and gently lever the lens off it lifts out of the recess it's in and pulls off try warming it up with a hairdrier to stop it breaking.

Get a steel tube slide it over the end of the bent handle bar and lever it to straighten it out

A small(2amp or less) charger red lead to + black lead to - for 3 to 5 hours should do it . Not sure of your battery location however a scooter is typically under the seat or in a box with removable lid under the floormat.

Check adjustments at the levers, or trace the wiring back from the light to find the switch which may have shorted or broken.

Its either a sticky caliper on the rear or its in gear .is it stuck all the time or will it move a few feet and then stop quick ? If its stuck all the time id suggest tapping the caliper face with a soft mallet to loosen the caliper pistons a bit . If its moving a bit then stopping then check its in neutral

either You have a electrical issue, Or You have a blown fuse too replace.

Check the electric cables from the back of your lights may just be a lose connection

It is a 2 stroke and this means that oil is mixed with the petrol to be burnt in the combustion chamber. If the engine runs without popping and *******, you shouldn't worry about it.

There should be a tank, usually under the seat or behind the rear side panels. Just fill the 2-stroke tank and don't worry about the mixing, the engine does it on it's own.

Use 2T oil if you are mixing it with petrol.

Hi, Mr Juergen,From your explanation, it is clear the problem is on your jetting system i.e. the main jet on your carbureter.When in idle the main jet is not in use but pilot jet. While you increase the RPM the main jet has the main role to accelerate the RPM/speed. You can try re-clean again the main jet nozzle on your bike and let's see what happening. Please note : over time your main jet can be deteroirated and if this is happen you may need to get new carbureter kit. It contains jettings, seals, o-ring etc.Best luck.

Question edited for a lot more clarity, and spelling of carburetor. Question moved from Garden to model category. The float in the bottom of the carb is likely stuck. Try tapping the bowl at the base with the handle of a screwdriver. Hello there, I have a problem with my Piaggio X9 500, 2002 model dashboard. When I turn the key on, the injection, alarm, rear brake, gas reserve, low and high beam bulbs do not check initially , thought they work fine after when I press each button. Could you please give me any suggestion? (the dashboard clocks are NEW!)
