You have a sticking float valve. The tube is an overflow tube. At this point the carbs will need to be removed and cleaned.
Problem with Voltage Regulator.

ofcourse sir , this all happens when regulater get shorted and gives over charging may harms battery ..one thing more when you continue your ride on short regulator its starts buring ur inner down stator coil...so better replace both things ..i mean rectifier regulator and stator coil...
Have a 1997 Yamaha Virago 1100 cc, started it for
One thing you might check....not real familiar with Viragos....but if your bike has the vacuum petcock...make sure the diaphragm isn't leaking and your vacuum line isn't sucking fuel into the intake.
As for the floats...if the petcock is fine....sometimes tapping the flat bowl of an overflowing carb with the plastic handle of a large screwdriver will free the float.

Hello. These symptoms are typically caused by bad fuel,or a gummed up carburator, If it has old fuel in it, drain that fuel and replace it with fresh. Also change the fuel filter.
If it is still not running right, get a bottle of carburator cleaner to add to the fuel and and a can of starter fluid.
Add the cleaner to the fuel based upon the instructions on the can. Then, remove the air cleaner and start it up. Keep it running for a couple of minutes by squirting some starter fluid into the air intake. Joe

Changing rear tire.Need instructions for
You should not have to unbolt the final drive assembly. Loosen the rear axle nut, take out the bolt, knock out
the spacer , lift the caliper assembly out of the way and hang it by a wire, grab the wheel, and slide it sideways away
from the final drive. The wheel should slide right off the spline of the
final drive and roll out the back under the fender. If the wheel wont
slide past the final drive let the air out of the tire. Be sure to coat
the spline of the final drive with moly60 paste available at your local Honda dealer when reassembling.
I am trying to replace
If you are just replacing the grips, you may not need to touch the cables, the right grip fits over a plastic throttle sleeve, you generally just cut the old one off
Just installed a new starter,
Check your alignment of starter, as it may need to be shimmed one way or the other in order for starter drive to align properly to allow it to extend fully and mesh properly with ring gear teeth. It doesn't take much for drive to be out and not fully extend .
The starter turns but not
The one way clutch in the motor grabs a gear with a smooth cylinder sticking out of the side of it. The smooth surface of the gear is now chattered and the one way clutch will not grab it. You will have to replace the large gear and possibly the one way clutch.

Check your intake manifolds for air leaks . You may have a cracked manifold or you may have to replace the sealing o-ring.
