Yamaha XT 125r low fuel system not working
there should be a fuel level relay in the top of the gas tank. i havent been able to find an image yet, but in a car, it is located within the fuel tank, mounted to the top- usually inside the fuel filter assembly.
How do change back light bulb for a xt 125
Tail light or instrument panel back light? The tail light should be straight forward remove and replace. NEXT - Disconnect the battery! The instrument panel, remove the panel, the gauges will probably have a mount or cover, remove it and the bulbs should be rubber plugs in the bottom of the gauges.
How do change back light bulb for a xt 125
It looks like the lens screws are under the fender, but you might have to remove the assembly. Two nuts attach it to the rear fender. Use WD40 to loosen, and wash area to remove mud and dirt. Hope that helps.
I need the part number
It would be tremendously helpful to know what bike it is that you are working on, but - you can go to a site like
www.cheapcycleparts.com and look at the OEM parts lists. The bearing number is usually in the OEM part number. For example - OEM# 99306-02
608-00 - the bearing number is 608 - you just have to add SS for seals or FF for shields depending on which manufacturer you are buying. The factory parts are not really all that expensive.
I hope this helped!

Liam...
if the light just comes on before starting....its probably a light test check...Yamaha does this on many models so you know the bullb works.
If it is on with engine running...different issue.
Have a 03 yamaha raptor
it sounds like you sucked in water through the air box take the front of and see if its wet if it is then you will need to clean the carb as the bowl will be full of water once you have done that remove the spark plug and give it a clean too with luck that should have cured the problem if it hasnt then maybe you have broken a piston ring when you sucked in the water
hope this helps

Hi, I have a 1980
If you run a wire from the earth side of the bulb in the rear light cluster, (probably the black wire) to the negative of the battery that will stop that from happening and save you hours of fault finding as the fault could be anywhere in the loom.
Brand new yamaha xt 250,
Your bike has running lights...in other words both front signal flashers should be on, but dimmer than when you use turn signals..So the issue is not why the left side is on but rather why why the right side is not lit also.
If you remove the right side bulb...you will see it has 2 filaments....one for running light, one for turn signal. Check the bulb. Try swapping the left and right bulbs and see if the right side now works...if it still doesn't...have the wiring connector checked. Does the turn signal work fine on the right side...this proves the ground is fine.
The bulbs on the back are turn signal only, and use a single filament bulb.
Since it is a new machine your dealer should address the problem free I would think.

That sounds like the mixture is too weak. Check for carburation problems, jet blocked etc. Maybe just a fuel feed problem. Take the fuel feed pipe off the carborettor and with a container to catch any fluids, turn on the tap. Does it flow fast? If not clean the fuel filter.
