Reset computer yamaha mt-01
Hi,
As far as I know, all encryption is carried in the master key. You got 2 keys + one RED key. Remove key from the bike, switch on USING THE RED KEY, let it go through the check routine, start the bike and switch off.
Remove red key, insert normal key and restart the bike using the normal key.
Option 2 would be to FIRST remove the master fuse situated above the battery (or disconect battery) and then repeat above procedure.
Hope this help
Is there any problems with MT 01s with 100000
Well, I have a 2005 MT-01 and have done just under 140 000km. It is commuted daily without undercover parking, so is in the sun, rain and elements every day. 2 years ago I had to replace the 6 year old batery - thats it. Ride them and enjoy them. they are bullet proof!!!Francois D
Very hard to go into corners
If the problem is that when you turn the handlebars you feel as if it is almost locked into wanting to go straight your steering head bearings are dented and need replacing.
The denting happens when the steering head bearings not adjusted and loose causing hammering effect denting the bearing races.
Tyre pressures
hi,general rule of thumb for most big road bikes is 34psi rear and 32psi front, generally if pressures are to low the outside edges will wear and it will handle like an old horse and cart,if the pressures are to high, the centres of the tyres will wear really bad,and it will feel very skittery on the road due to the low contact area...hope this helps...cheers ian
Yw50 battery goes dead ==not a battery problem
Hi and welocme to FixYa,
Offhand, check the fuses, wires & connectors for looseness, corrosion or pittings/burnt marks; scrape clean and tighten as necessary.
Should the fuse, wiring & connectors check out, then the voltage regulator could be suspect. This could be checked by measuring (with a voltmeter) the battery's voltage before start, on idle and while revving. Compare readings: with engine off, battery voltage should be 12 + volts, on idle should be less than 13 volts and while revving should go high with a maximum of 14.5 volts or thereabouts. If the voltage is below 12 at idle or and will not go up while revving, then the voltage regulator would require replacement (most likely). It must be pointed out that in some instances, it could be the stator (least likely).
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Need fuel and vacuum line info
there should only 2 lines from the fuel tap, one for fuel, and the other for vacume, the smaller diameter hose is the vacume, and the larger hose is fuel. fuel hose will go to carby, and the vacume hose to the carby inlet manifold.
Wiring problems draining battery when
you have a bad ignition switch only thing that turns battery power on to rest of bike the way to check is to unplug the ignition an leave it un plugged an see if battery still drains there should be nothing hot but the main wires to ignition unless you have bag lights or radio hope that helps you to keep riding
Where do I find the
It is under the seat ... which must be removed to gain access. Look for the bolts that hold the seat to the motorcycle ... at the rear or rear side of the seat.
Thanks for your question George.
