2006 Yamaha TTR 50E pouring oil out of air cleaner housing
With the oil problem I read on another site that Yamaha did that so that excess oil would be burned up in normal running (but this was usually smaller amounts). Anyways they disconnected the tube going to the air cleaner and had tied up in such a way that any excess oil would land on the chain thus lubricating it. But if you have that much oil coming out it could be that you have put in too much.
Will not crank just turn over think its timing
The ignition timing is preset, and being electronic doesent change unless the fly wheel has come loose. The camshaft timing is driven by a chain, the chain would need to be extremely worn and loose to jump some sprocket teeth,
unfortunatly this doesnt answer your question, but its probably not the timing.
there may be a fault in the ignition switch, water in the kill switch, the carb may need cleaning or has flooded the spark plug.
check the oil level and clean the airfilter as well
How do you change the oil on a 2009 Yamaha TTR
hi,
There is not much oil capacity in a ttr125, maybe one quart. Most people will change it every weekend depending on how much running time. You may want to but an hour meter. On ebay they do not cost much. With such a small amount of oil and you probably run the heck out it, I would use a synthetic motorcyle oil with a JASO MA rating (Look at Motul oils). The interval of change can be extended. With Petroleum maybe every 5 hour, with synthetic maybe every 10 of running time. Oil is cheap you cannot change it too much. Also there is no filter to change, there is a screen insidethe motor that filters out the junk so changing it regulary is important.
Hope this helps
My ttr doesnt have the
Replace the fuel and air filter, replace the spark plug and make sure that the carb is lean, apart from a bit of adjustment on the mixture screws, that is all you can do short of cleaning exhaust ports and exhaust systems.
I can't get the bike
first drain your float bowl. you may have water in the fuel. if this doesn't help then you must clean out the carb. you will need a can of spray carb cleaner. remove carb float bowl. use the right size screwdriver otherwise you will strip the screw heads. remove 2 jets and clean, clean the bores for the jets. use a strand of copper speaker wire to probe the holes in the jets. now you have to clean the idle mixture adjustment bore. first turn the screw closed counting the number of turns to gently seat the screw( write it down). then back out screw all the way- do not lose the spring or washer. spray carb cleaner in the hole . lastly spray the float valve backwards from normal flow. put it all back together. adjust idle mixture screw, start engine and allow to get hot then adjust idle speed screw. if you notice a flat spot back out the idle mixture screw a little bit until the hesitation goes away.
How to make your parents get u a dirt bike ttr
You cant make your parents get you a dirt bike you have to earn their trust as the previous person wrote do alot of things around your house to gain their trust but you also cant make them if they are not financially ready.
Ttr 50. No spark with spark plug grounded, plenty
sounds like you have a wiring problem, get a ohm meter and check stator wires, pickup coil wires, ign coil wires, see if they are reading what they are supposed to you can go to google.com to find this info out or check with local yamaha dealer for the readings, make sure your ign coil is grounded good..
Motor bike seat repair
There really is no way of repairing the seat once it is torn. The only solution is to recover the foam underlay with a new seat cover. You should be able to purchase one from a dealership or off of the internet. As far as the installation goes: Take the seat off of the bike. Remove any seat brakets or anything you think will be in your way on the bottom side of the seat. Remove the old seat cover by pulling the staples out. If you are replacing the foam remove that too. Make sure the surface is clean before you start applying the adhesive for the new foam. I prefer spray adhesive. Its quick and I don't have to get it all over myself. Next, you will need some means of applying heat to the seat cover. A heat gun works the quickest but you can do damage with it if you aren't careful. Lay the cover down on a flat surface and make sure the seat is centered on the cover. You will want to use 1/4 inch staples or the like. Try to atleast match the staples you removed. Staple both ends of the cover to the seat, making sure its centered and tight. Now heat the middle of the cover and staple a mid point on either side of the seat. Start stapling from the mid point to the front on both sides. Alternate stretching and heat. You might have to remove some of your own staples to get the wrinkles out of the cover. Now do the same thing to the other end starting at the mid point. When you are satisfied, trim away any excess cover fabric that might interfear with seat hardware and fitment. Now reattach the seat and bask in the glory.
