could be a few things your fuel filter could be clogged along with your air filters your crabs may be gummed up did you make any adjustments to your carbs 3 turns on lh carb 2 turns out on rh carb i like using sea foam it seems to keep my fuel system clean try that stuff i also gap my spark plug at .033

For the first problem. Most likely the clutch is holding to tight and needs to be adjusted. Next problem. Check this first. Check theconnections on the battery post, make sure they are clean and tight. Next the carburetor may have flooded and hydro locked the piston. Make sure the battery is fully charged and the battery post are clean and tight. Retry starting the engine, if you only have the clicking sound, move the ATV to a location where gasoline cannot be ignited by a flame or spark including the sparkplug wire. Remove the sparkplug, move the sparkplug wire into a location where it is not close to ground so it will not create a spark. Try to crank the engine and see if it will spin, if it spins it will spew out gas if it was hydro locked. If the engine was hydro locked crank the engine a little more expelling as much gas as possible. Leave the spark plug out for a while so the remaininggasoline in the cylinder will have time to evaporate. Clean andreinstall the sparkplug. Try starting the engine, if the engine starts, reset the adjustments you made to the carburetor prior to having the dying problem. If the engine was not hydro locked and will not spin, and you only hear the clicking sound when trying to start the engine, you may have a problem with the starter or starter solenoid should it have a solenoid. I do think the engine will be hydro locked. Provided the battery, was fully charged the battery terminals were clean and the starter circuit is ok.Ge

Try jumping the positive directly to the starter,if it starts,the solenoid is bad.

check the starter solenoid first by jumping across it, then check to see if you have power from the starter switch to the solenoid. Check all your safety switches, neutral, clutch etc. If all these test good you need a starter motor. You also can jump right to the start motor if it turns over the starter moter is good

if your talking about the reverse override or the speed limiter,you will have to install an aftermarket high performance CDI unit

Whilst riding ,try pushing the brakes with the clutch in and if you still hear the noise it will most likely be your brake pads(possibly worn to metal) or the discs themselves.

Your voltage regulator is over charging.....I assume you fitted the corect voltage bulbs??

Does you battery use lots of water...if so replace the regulator.

You will find that there is a problem with the carbie. It runs with the choke on because the choke engages the "enricher" circuit. The idle circuit is different a different circuit inside the carb. When just crack the throttle on, you use the pilot circuit, and then main jet with more twist of the grip. You will need to completely strip the carb, remove all jets, spray carbie cleaner throughout, and blow out all capillary tubes and holes inside the carb with compressed air. Pay particular attention to the fine holes inside the venturi near the butterfly valve. You may need to use a fine piece of wire, like a guitar string to open up any that are clogged.
There is not much else that will cause the symptoms you have. Check for air leaks about the inlet manifold also, spray some carbie cleaner about the manifold connections boots, the revs will change when it sucks up the cleaner through the leak.

I would venture to say that if you have submerged the ATV recently that you have blown the fuse or Corrosion has set in on thebgrounding wire for tthe lighting system.
