I had the same thing happen and still can't figure it out

Exup Valve not working properly and needs to be serviced

Have you checked that the clutch cable is not causing the problem as they get cagged up with rust etc. Would recommend using a cable lubricator to fire some lube down. If it reduces the problem l would recommend a new cable before it goes completely they are about £17 + P&P.

Put plenty of paper at the clutch housing end to catch all the gubbins that comes through the cable with the lube you are squirting down.

are the cables in the right position to start with or the valve may move back when motor is warm

cn you explaain what you mean please? this is a little blunt, are you meaning by your own healdights? if so just change your light angle

Hello! the tachometer is indicating a trouble code...7000 rpm is a problem with the EXUP servomotor...( starter motor )...it is locked or wiring to it is shorted...send comment

A service manual is a valuable tool with an aging bike. I suggest the dealer/mfr. or Clymer books. In the meantime, go to the library reference section...646 stacks should have what you need.

choke cables normaly last for ever, so it prob needs just a bit of oil. remove upper end of cable, tape a cone on it and pour some 20/50 into it. if it is broken, observe the set up and replace.

Hi Don , start checking all the fuses . I would suggest you get a manual as it will identify them all, but most have several near the battery compartment , usually under the seat. Normally some on the right or left front side near the handle bars. I would suggest that as you trace the positive from your battery, the first fuse you hit will be the issye. Good luck

If the bike is running normally I wouldn't worry about it. But you won't be able to adjust the idle without replacement
