Need to remove seat on ttr 250 how do i do this
They are deffinatly under the seat, there is another set of screws right behind them but that is for taking the rear fender off. After you have removed the seat screws slide and lift the seat off towards the back of the bike. If you need any other help working on your bike, I just finished doing alot of work on my own TTR250 1999 and shes runnin like a dream now.

Spark come and go?
It probably the pick up coil which is inside left side cover, at worse the stator is bad. In same place. Can fin either one on eBay .
Why is the battery is draining when bike is not in use ?
Check to see if stator charging system is putting out too much voltage by placing a meter on battery while running should read from 12.8 to 13.4. If higher than 14 then is overcharging an the acid will drip or pour out tha over flow line . Have had same problem. Hope this helps. M if this is problem u can find new stator or othercharging parts on eBay @. misterelectrical@ gmail. Com. Good luck
Wont start
have you checked petrol and is it getting through to carb ?
have you checked spark plug and are you getting a spark from it
remove ht lead and undo spark plug
put spark plug back in plug cap and touch the end of the spark plug against the frame and move kickstart with hand
you should see the spark plug sparking
Obviously make sure there is no petrol around the area first
hope that helps
I have a 2001 yamaha ttr 230 4 stroke that will not start
when you say pop , do you mean Bump start ?
does the ttr have a kick start as well ?
how long has it not been started for - if its a while the petrol may have gone stale
i would also start with checking spark plug - are you getting a spark ?
