Choke seems to do nothing
First off, there's no choke on a Victory fuel injected engine. There is a fuel enrichener that will open the throttle slightly when it is applied. I would think you might need to adjust the fuel enrichener cable to make it work properly.

2005 Victory Vegas, Motor lost
It sounds like computer has put you bike into limp home mode or safety mode to protect the engine. What warning lights do you have if any come on? it sounds like a sensor has either malfunctioned or has done its job properly and picked up something wrong like, temp sensor, oxygen, oil pressure, mass air flow sensor etc. Either way when something is out of the norm form the sensor inputs to the bikes computer it will often limit the revs on the bike putting it into limp home mode to protect the engine.
I personally would be getting a mechanic to put it on a diagnostic machine. If the computer has caused the bike to go into limp mode, your mechanic will more than likely be able read a fault code from your computer to point you in the right direction as to the root cause of this fault.

It does'nt have to be a Victory dealer, if they have a jpcycles.com you can go pick it up and do it yourself . If you prefer a dealer do it ? Make sure that they have knowledge of your bike .
Get an estimate before replacement It is an easy fix, but the turn signal unit is not

2005 Vegas Ness oil change
Look under the motor and you will see the drain plug. I think it takes a 6mm allen. drain the oil and remove your filter, just like on your car. Your bike should take 5 qrts. make sure you put oil on the new oil filters rubber seal and get it hand tight. after you have replaced the oil plug and filter , pull the dip stick over on the right side and look for the full mark and put the oil in. Put the oil stick
all the way back into the motor, and pull it and check it. Check for leaks and ride safe.
2005 Vegas: trying to change the brake pads...
There are 2 pins holding the pads inplace, There is a Y pin,or clip holding the pins in. First thing is to turn the pins so that you can pull the clips off or out, and then pull the pins out, the pad cover will then come or fall off. the pads then pull right out of the calipers. P.S. make sure that you press the cyclenders back flush before you install the new pads. Also inspect the caliper for wear or damage and replace or have them refaced (Turned) if possable. When you start to put it all back together be sure to get the pins back throught the cover. pump up your brakes and ride safe!!
Motorcycle is missing when throttling.
Hello. Change the fuel filter and put a fuel additive in the tank called seafoam. This fuel additive will remove any water from the fuel and any partial blockages of gunk that may have built up over time. Joe.
I have lost my keys to my 2005 Victory Vegas. I
the bike only has 2 locks?
Just get a set of locks and keys - maybe from breakers yard or ebay,
cheaper than dealership or locksmith... and just as effective, but you have to fit the locks yourself.
