What kind of oil for a 1999 victory?
Highly recommend Victory brand Semi-Synthetic 20W-40 motor oil. Equivalent oils are allowed, but for the price difference, I take comfort in knowing that if something oil related fails, Victory will be much more inclined to participate in any repair if their oil is in the crankcase. FWIW.

Common problem with the vics.Is it breaking at the clutch lever(hand) . Any binding will cause the cable to bend instead of turn and fail prematurely. Sand or file to remove any sharp edge and or allow the barrel to rotate. Keep well lubricated with grease.
