Mate not really an answer but my 2002 triumph datytona, has got LED's on the front and i have no problems with them and have you tried Ebay for replacment ones.

This is a known issue with Triumph Triples from 2002/2003 - there was a 'feature' in the ECM code called speedo error check which looks at the battery voltage and disables the speedo if below boundaries.
However this feature was extremely problematic from the very outset - even brand new batteries would suffer this issue.
It is exactly as you described - typically at first start it will disable - speedo reads zero; a subsequent re-start will restore. No in between - either works or doesn't work (a reading that is inconsistent to actual speed is more likely to be a speed sender issue).
Triumph received so many complaints that they disbaled the feature in subsequent revisions.
The solution is to have your dealer upload the latest edition of 'tune' for your model into your ECM.
Unfortunately this is not something you can do yourself.
Depending on your relationship with dealer, some will do this free - or charge a nominal fee around $50.

This will 100% fix your problem.

Do not grease your disc bobbins. Ok, since you removed the calipers, you have to suspect that the noise is being caused by an improper re-installation. You do not mention it, but is there any lever pulsation when braking? Without getting insulted, can you say what your mechanical resources are, and did you use a torque wrench? I'm also beginning to wonder if you might be hearing normal noise that you never paid attention to before?

when it happens take by azone and have them check codes while running . Do not turn off it will reset and loose code

It may be time for new spark plugs and some carb or injector cleaner...............I would also check plug wires and oil level due to leveling sensors built into the engine safety system.......Hope this helps.

This could be anything from the valve settings being loose, to piston slop or wrist pins, to rod bearings. Really hard to say, since a rattle can describe a lot of different things. If you can isolate the location of the noise, it would help greatly in the diagnosis.

If you have access to a stethoscope, you can listen to different areas of the engine and tell where the noise is coming from.

No stethoscope, use a large screwdriver, put the tip against the engine and handle to ear. Move around the engine till you find the loudest noise. That will be the area that probably needs attention.

It has to do with cranking amps. Cold draws electricity. Also metal(i.e. cylinders shrink a small amount, also oil thickins when cold. Its all normal dont trippppp...

It sounds like the battery is flat. Turn the headlight on and try and start it. Does the headlight turn into a dim glow worm?

That is usually indicative of a fuel supply issue. Check the Petcock is open and working. Strip and clean the carb fuel bowls and jet.

You are probably describing a frozen clutch caused by a long period of disuse - the clutch plates long pressed together under the pressure of strong springs have become frozen together. Sometimes only dismantling the clutch will cure the problem. Lots of people just keep the revs low and jam it into gear and hope the shock loading will do the trick. A much kinder method is to start the engine with first gear selected and go for a ride - changing gear without the clutch is quite a trick but possible. Keep the clutch lever pulled and by the time the engine is developing high torque in a high gear most clutches would become unfrozen...

(then then phish you and bam) not sure the question so will answer both. 1: mpg wrong, 2; WHAT IS THE RESERVE gallons missing in the book. ok MC 101 Are motorcycles new to you ,(ive owned too many to count) back to 1965 in fact, even had a real Triumph TR6 car (pure love there) OK MPG:? 865cc twin. guessing 35mpg. 45mpg on long trips. 2.5 gallons . The low fuel lamp will illuminate approximately 3.5 litres of fuel remaining in the tank. (near 1 gallon almost) I am now reading your manual. and it's in Europe somewhere, and no clues as to reserve point. did you read your manual to see how any reserve works the book has no such word in the manual. EFI injection no EFI fuel pump likes running dry, so I bet dollars to donuts they don't make that easy. This the early warning light. (just like modern cars) never run one dry. the pump is fuel cooled and fuel lubricated, is why. that is all on fuel . tell what is the problem, your post is only a hint. ok? good luck, and ride safe.

Sounds like an ignition module is going open after warming up. Check for spark after it is warm and doesn't run.
