If it goes in gear but the engine cuts out then either your sidestand switch is faulty (does the pin get pushed in when the stand is up - sometimes a bolt falls out and the switch pivots out of the way so the stand won't push it) or you clutch switch is faulty and the bike thinks the cltch is not pulled when you select gear.

I yes install a new Battery evry 2 years , The battery since to loose the apm, Juse, and can damage u starter, is cheaper to replace the battery,,

Here is what you do ... go to the bike shop ... pal up with the counter person ... tell them you would like to look at a Triumps filter to see if it is the same as yours ... Buy theirs if you want ... he or she did help you. Then go looking.

You have a pretty heavy drain on your battery. Find the fuse box. Remove all the fuses. With volt/ohm meter, read each fuse socket to find which one is drawing the power - when you find it ... investigate the circuit to find the short.

It may be that you are not making power ... your rectifier may be shorted which not only prohibits charging ... in some circumstances, it will actually cause a short to ground.

whats the coil like on that 4 cylinder

either by looking at oil sight glass on casing of engine normally on the right should be 1/2 - 3/4 full or by a dipstick oil should be touching line

hi mate there will be aither a sight glass on the engine somewhere if there is it shud be 3/4 full or the oil fill plug will be a dip stick and there will be a point on the dipstick where the oil must touch good luck

alarms supplied by Triumph as accessories were in fact Datatool alarms, do a google search for Datatool and see who sells or distributes them. the Datatool website will probably lead you to their helpdesk.

You need to flush out the gas line and change the gas filter.

Have you checked the distributor? Open the dissy cap and check the ignition points, if they're very dirty this may cause them to miss. Also check the spark leads for any cracks, as this can cause the spark to arc to the chassis and not the plug, I've seen this a couple of times. Hope this helps!

If you want LOUD,then D&D's are what you're looking for.Staintune from Australia makes a nice sounding muffler for the Trophy,but they are pretty expensive.I went with the Trident mufflers from England and am quite happy with them.I think Thunderbike from New Zealand also makes a silencer for the 1200 Trophy.

Might be a sight glass (view the oil level in a window) or it will be on the filler cap - usually on the right side of the engine in any case (look real low on the side of the engine for the sight-glass.

Spark plugs are in the engine head, look for thick wire about 4-5mm going to usually a big black connector, The connector will pull off, spark plug is the bit it pulled off from.

Air leaks into the exhause can cause backfiring on the overrun.
