2005 Suzuki Boulevard C90T quit running while riding

Classic failure that I have experienced twice now while riding a 2007 Suzuki C90. Both times the bike went totally dead electrically while going down the road. In both cases, I sent a fellow rider off with my battery, to buy a battery that fit. That's how I got home, with the ignition system running off of the battery alone. The old battery was the first bad actor. It shorted out internally causing the regulator rectifier to call for max amps from the stator, burning the stator up...melting windings...both times. Replace the battery with a high quality battery, and replace the stator and rectifier/regulator with top end stuff...like Ricks Motorsports. Yes it costs three times as much, but it handles three times the wattage. Don't go back with OEM parts like I did the first time. It will fail again just after the warranty expires.

Torque setting for installing oil cooler 2005 c90

Pull the chrome off. Look at the hex nut looking thing that the banjo fitting goes into. Start the motor and look for cracks. They are made out of cast aluminum and tend to crack due to vibrations or over tightening.

Backfiring on decel

If this is a new condition and you've not worked on the bike recently, I'd try a dose of StarTron in the gas tank. It will eat the sludge that grows in fuel systems exposed to gasohol. Put it in the tank, ride a few miles to get it into the carbs, and then let it sit overnight. It has special enzymes in it that do the job. Seafoam is a good product but is not designed to clear bacterial sludge.

If a coil goes bad will the bike still run down the road

If a coil went bad would it still run down the road would depend on how it went bad. Usually if a coil goes bad it will not work at all anymore but a coil could also have a heat related defect in which case it would only not work when it was too hot function properly. Also in any multi-cylinder engine with independent coils or coil segments the cylinder(s) with the good coil(s) or segment(s) would keep operating normally while the one with the bad segment or coil would not.

MY STARTER WILL NOT DISENGAGE ON 2005 SUZUKI BOULEVARD C90

This is not an uncommon problem with starter pinion gears. Some times when the starter is replaced the shim between the starter and the flywheel is left out or the wrong shim is used. If the starter has not been replaced and the issue is not with a wrong shim, I would try to lubricate the pinion gear ( WD40, etc.) and tap it gently with a rubber mallet , and see if it retracts. You may get lucky and the gear will retract, but in the long run, you should consider replacing the starter with a new one.

Why is the engine on a c90backfiring and poor accerlation

This is a timing issue, if it high miles or used for racing, there may be a mechanical timing issue with the cam. If it is not high miles or raced, then it is the ignition timing. There some other more involved things to check too.

Air filter

it is under the gauge cluster on the tank... the chrome cluster is held on with allen and philips screws. There are two screws at the front of the tank, then the rest are under the filler cover... you have to take the gas cap off, remove those three screws around the filler tube, then two more Allen screws up from the filler tank...not the two in the center, but the two outer ones...once you have the cluster unscrewed, lift it up enough that you can unplug it and set it to the side...the air filter is up near the handle bars...you will see it...I think it is held in with screws as well.

2006 c90t want start.Checked

Suzuki experienced significant problems with wires coming loose in the ignition switch. If you are handy, pull the switch off, open it from the rear, and examine the wires. The initial manufacturing of the switched is full of bad switches with poor solder points.

No power when ignition is turned on, all fuses ok, battery fully charged.

Sounds like it might be your rectifier. Happened to me. Replaced the rectifier and the battery nad the problem went away. The bad rectifier WILL eventually quite working. Try hooking up jumper cables to the bike to see if it gets power. If it does, and your battery and fuses are fine, I would suggest you have your rectifier checked and replaced. Good luck!

My 2005 Suzuki Boulevard Will not start most of

Same problem here ... 2008 C90T ... dealer no help ... in 3rd or 4th, ignition off, force it to roll backwards until you hear the piston shift ... should start then. Told it's the rear piston stopping at or near top dead center, but also told adjust the decompression will "solve" the issue; anyway, a rolling forward-start in 4th will work, too, otherwise try rolling the bike backwards until you hear, and you will know when the piston moves and then it will start.

Starter wont turn to start

I had a similar problem with my 06. It was solved without replacing anything. I depressed the starter button, THEN slowly applied the clutch lever , which allowed the starter to engage at its "sweet spot". After a few times of this process being effective, the "sweet spot" was re-established, and problem was resolved. Hope this helps.
