My 04 suzuki katana 750 has a battery draining problem

You definitely hooked something up wrong. Get a wiring diagram for the exact bike you have and try again. Oh, the regulator is probably fried. Sorry.

Hi the gsx will have the quantity of oil required embosed on the rh case next to the riders footrest. The quantity requiredFor all the gsx750 range, is 3.5 litres, 10W40 SG, When the engine has been standing a while place the bike on a centre stand, or ask your good wife to sit on the bike and hold it uprite, then check the oil level by looking through the window you have found, and the level should be observed, higher than half full but not over the top mark, when replacing the oil and filter, it may take up to 4 litres to fill up to the mark after running and alowing the oil to settle

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To address the "...bike is dead...", initially:
  • externally charge the battery;
  • chec/replace the 30 Amps main fuse located at the starter relay;
  • to locate the starter relay, follow the big cable from the battery's + terminal;
  • if the fuse blows,. disconnect the regulator and replace the fuse to try again.

Postback results of initial tests.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

There is no fuel getting into the carbs of a 2004

have you tried switching the petcock to prime it sounds like you don't have vacuum to the petcock for whatever reason try it on PRI give it about a minute to fill the carbs and then try starting prime doesn't require vac so it will tell you if that is your prob or not if so check the vac line going from carb 4 to the rear of the petcock if that is good and there is vac to it then rebuild the petcock takes about 10 minutes and costs 25 bucks. check out www.katriders.com it is an excellent informational forum for the katana. hope this helps otherwise someone there can certainly help and you can download free service manuals for your bike.

Suzuki gsx750f not sparking

Good possibility, You can check the out put voltage of the pickup coil. This has to be done with a "peak reading volt meter". There are some commercially available adaptors to insert in a standard volt meter for this check. With adapter installed, meter set to DC volts the reading across the leads from the pick up coil should be 3-7 volts at cranking speed. You should also confirm that you have battery voltage with the key & engine stop switch on at the cdi box as well as a good ground. I believe on a Suzuki this will be the orange/ white for battery voltage and the black will need to have contininity to ground. Also the orange/white at each coil should have battery voltage with key and engine stop switch on.
