Cutting out at idle

the batery is ok if the engine start avery time. Also the volts are ok.
Have you made any modifications on it? Sport exhaust, sport air filter?
Check also the air filter. Make sure is clean...
Idle speed should be around 1000-1200 rpm. You should have a screw to fix the idle speed. Check it on the carburetors area, or download the manual from internet.

Cheers.

Bike won't start

With a puller, but look at it first. There should be no need to remove anything to get to the starter.

Suzuki sv650 crafshank problem...

I agree with your mechanic. The likelihood is that the oil in the gearbox got too low and starved the crank bearings of oil. It could also have been a defect at the factory that has gotten worse and worse and finely is showing as a major problem. I suggest you get a service manual for this project. A manual becomes instantly priceless when you realize that without it you would have done something wrong or not done something you should have. Install new crank bearings and seals and output shaft bearing and seal at the sprocket. Flush all metal bits from the engine and oil pump. New oil filter is needed. Follow the manual and all should be good. Buy your mechanic a six pack.

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

Engine wont start it is

You need 3 things for an engine to run; spark, fuel and compression. How is the compression? Is the spark plug new? If the plug is old, it could give a nice spark when you check it but have no spark under compression. Make sure the fuel you're using is fresh. If you give it a small shot of starting fluid and it fires up, your fuel delivery is suspect. In that case, you will need to remove the carb an THOROUGHLY clean it paying close attention to jets and passages. I always give people this warning: when cleaning jets and passages, NEVER use steel instruments. Use wood, copper wire or other materials that are softer than the material you're working on or you run the risk of ruining jets or even the entire carburetor.

I have a 1987 suzuki

Hi, use your key to open the side panel. You have to unscrew both battery posts in place, then slide the battery out. Don't loose the nuts that the battery screws screw into. Once the battery is charged, you need to put the nuts in place inside the terminals and carefully slide the battery in without disturbing the nuts. Then the screws will go into the nuts for tightening. Always loosen the negative cable first and replace it last to minimize the chance of shorting the positive to ground when attaching the positive cable. Please let me know if you have more questions. I have one of these and I have the manual for it.

Suzuki SV 650 2004

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Yes it may but as a first course of action I strongly suggest that you replace the fuel filter. It can be clogged causing fuel supply irregularities. If it still doesn't help then replace the fuel pump and you'll be good.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Where is the rectifier located on my 2004 suzuki katana 600

Behind the radiator on the left side. It is the device with cooling fins, even though the electronic parts are embedded in rubber paste. The location isn't ideal and sudden defects leave people stranded so what people do is relocate the regulator/rectifier to a cooler place. Perhaps to the air inlet, under the air filter. Follow the three, mostly, yellow cables that originate from the stator when you don't find it behind the radiator.

Why my Suzuki TF 125 losses power in the midway? What are the causes for such loss of power?

What do you mean by "Midway"? How old is this motorbike? What exactly did you do to clean the carburettor? Is it a new spark plug and a new, clean air filter? Did you empty the fuel tank to remove the fuel tap to clean the filter on the inside of the tap? Is it doing anything else? Things like - is it hard to start, has heavier exhaust smoke or it has a rough and uneven idle.

I own a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard. Problem is the motor is jammed. It turns but only half a turn before it hits something solid inside. what are the possibilities it could be that is causing the problem

A broken timing chain is the most likely cause, the piston is hitting an open valve, or you have a dropped valve or a stuck valve. Another possibility is something jamming behind behind the side covers. The key would be how you discovered this? Driving along at 105 and the engine stopped, or ???https://www.google.com/search?q=2009+suzuki+boulevard+timing+chain+or+timing+belt....
