1400 suzuki does not start it sounds like a flat battery but the battery is fine

First check all battery cables and connections, no one may look loose , heated or oxydated. Jump the starter relay with a big diameter cable, if startermotor runs normally, replace the relay. Check the amperage starter takes when starting. if it's over 100A, then your starter or your engine is stuck.

Suzuki intruder battery removal

remove the battery cover and then you can get to the 2 battery cables. remove those I do the ground first then the positive. pull the battery out and replace and install reverse order. before installing the covers. check the bike starts and the 2 battery cables are tight. those should be about 15 pounds of torque. which is not a lot. since it does not do anything but hold the wires it does not need the same tightness as a tire lug nut.

My 2000 VS14 wont turn the starter over

High miles, maybe brushes bad. Battery fully charged? Get the meter out and see if 12VDC or better. Solenoid faulty, check wires from battery to solenoid, then the 2 smaller trigger wires from solenoid to make sure they are connected and clean. First I would use a wrench or tool and jump across the 2 studs off the solenoid and see if starter engages, if not test battery for proper voltage or loose battery cables, if yes then inspect the 2 trigger wires, unplug them and use meter set to Ohm, on the end going to switch connect leads, press your starter button, does meter go to 0? If not the wires or the starter switch bad, if yes, then likely solenoid bad if voltage was good and battery connections were tight and clean. I have only seen 1 go bad on all the many bikes I have owned, but it happens..

High idle how do I adjust the idle down?

http://www.bikebandit.com/1994-suzuki-vs1400glp-carburetor-rear/o/m139273sch259338 This is the REAR carb. Item #42 is the idle speed adjuster. When the engine revs just by turning the handlebars this is the routing of the throttle cables hanging up, and pulling on the cables when you turn the bars....reroute cables!

Clogged carb

Check the levers on the carb moves when you open the throttle, if it does suspect the carb. Fuel in carb goes from the bowl out of carb toward cylinder through 2 carb jets. One is only for idle - ignore it. The other may be blocked. its a very small brass screw in item with a pinhole in it. Clean all the carb internals carefully, do not make pinholes bigger than they are.

Headlamps wiring

In the headlight there is the main globe (bulb/lamp) which generally has three(3) wires to it. This is HI beam and LO beam along with "common" (earth.....green).The small globe is the "running" light and the Brown and Green connect to this. This light comes on when the ignition (or lights) is switched on, off the rear tail light circuit. In the headlight "Nancelle" (the big chrome housing the headlight fits in to) there will be A: a GREEN connector and B: a BROWN connector. The green is earth and the brown is the lighting circuit for all running lights, just reconnect.

Plugs fouled

there are two ways plugs foul up is too much fuel or oil is getting in to the cylinders, does the bike blow excesive amont of smoke on start up and when you are riding, and is it one spark plug or all if it is a single plug and comes out black with oil then it could be a vave seal or it could be a damaged oil ring on your piston ,if it is doing it on all cylinders then more than likely the piston and rings need replacing and the bores to be honed or rebored to the next size piston and rings, hope tis helps cheers pete
