I assume you are using premium gas. If not you should. Check the plugs. If they are white the bike is running lean.. Make sure the gap is set correctley for your bikes spark plugs. Also check the jet sizes in the carbureator for your modifications and elevation. If the bike was fine and just needed a tune up i would pull the map off and reinstall the stock one.

FI stands for Fuel Injection. The fuel system sensors have detected a problem. It could be anything > a dirty air filter restricting airflow, a plugged injector, an error in fuel mapping, any number of things. Serious problems can trigger the computer to prevent the engine from starting until the problem is fixed. You will need to take the bike to a dealer to have them plug in a code reader. The code reader will tell you exactly what problem has been detected. There is also a chance a sensor has gone bad and is giving a false signal. Keep that in mind. Now determine if you want to do the fix or have the dealer do it. Please rate my answer.

I have a 2002 fact600 Telefonica and while riding

G'day. I can't solve this(there are litaraly hundreds of things it could be) BUT I can give you a way to narrow it down a bit.I'm thinking it may not be running on all cylinders and an easy way to check is to start the bike from cold(do this test in the first few seconds after starting from cold DONT BURN YOURELF),put a bit of spit on your fingers and quickly touch each exhaust header in turn, to see that they are all warming up equally together. This will narrow down if your problem is related to one or more cylinders.
If one or more of the pipes is cold/er than the others then you know which cylinders are causing the problem.
If you find that this is the case- one or more of the headers are cold then.
Remove the spark plugs-Keep in order.Examine the plugs-used plugs tell a story. How do they look?clean?black & sooty? Are they all the same colour?
Re-fit plugs to caps, sit plugs on metal of rocker cover, press starter - cheack for spark on all plugs.DO NOT HOLD OR TOUCH PLUG/CAPS WHILST CRANKING-WARNING - HIGH VOLTAGE- CAN KILL.
This will not solve your problem but may help you to isolate where your issue lies.
I hope that this is in some way helpfull.
Regards Andrew Porrelli.

Hi, I have just bought a used Gsxr 600 u2 plate.

Check tyre pressures are right.
Then you will have to check the yoke is fitted correctly, maybe the previous owner chaged the steering bearings but over tightened the bolts. (bearing)
The wheel should move from side to side easily without any problems and freely if front wheel is off the ground.

I have a 2002 gsxr 600. I was on my way home

hi, you dont say if you have had any previouse problems, i would first be looking at the gear selector drum, in the end of the drum which is located inside of the engine on the r/h side under the clutch cover, the gear lever shaft comes through the engine from left to right, on the clutch side the shaft has like a hook type arrangment, which is spring loaded, this locates in the end of the selector drum, which has 6 pins in the end of it, when you select a gear, the hook on the shaft locates a pin in the drum and pulls or pushes on it to select the correct gear, it is my thought that the plate on the end of the drum which retains the pins has either become loose or a pin has broken, this is not a big job, to check. if this is not the case then a more difficult procedure of removing the engine and disasembly may be required to check gearbox componants

i would presume you have checked the front sprocket nut has not come undone, and the sprocket is still located securely on the shaft?

I have gsxr 600 k2 the oil is contaminated with water

thats due to water getting in the oil from the head gasket or other source, you need to drain and flush all the old oil, get the cylinders compression tested, and see whats up. A low reading on 2 adjacent cyls indicates the gasket is gone, and should be replaced. If the engine has overheated, the head may need skimmed.
