Check the kick stand switch it has a safety feature when you put the kick stand down in gear it shuts off

Lucas oil?

SAE 10W-40 API Grade SE or SF. Don't use oil that is not made for bikes because the viscosity at hot temperatures could be all wrong and will eventually cause damage. Get a manual as that will have the info you need or, if you cannot wait, try ringing a local dealership and ask to speak to their mechanic.

Where is the fuse panel on a 2000 intruder VL 1500

the fuse panel is under the speed sensor cover. it is the chrome cover on right side of bike. the same cover you have to remove to put oil in it. it is the one that does not have the oil sight glass in it. only 2 allen bolts hold it on.
