Hi, it sounds like you would need to update your shift-related gears. If the car can start, then your starter, battery and alternator are fine. You might have to get your tire axels checked as well as an issue with those can also affect movement of your vehicle. Thank you.

I have 2 theories. First theory is the head gasket. I have not checked that. The other is the thermostat. When the coolant is cold the overflow is almost empty. When it gets hot the overflow is full. I have replaced the coolant and the overflow is full again. possible cause worn drive shaft rear wheel hub rubbers look at your drive shaft rubbers located in the rear wheel hub if the rubber is worn it could make it shunt forward as the rubbers engage with the alloy locators if left can also damage your rear hub

Have you checked the actual fuel pipes for flow ? You might need a carb refurbish kit. Weak vacuum causes similar type problems.

Did you take your carbs off to clean....and didn't take a pic for referencing the hose paths. Well good luck...all the diagrams on the inter webs are vague as f@$#. I suggest taking it to your buddy Dave's....maybe he can figure it out. Good luck mr.
