How to remove fuel tank 1990 suzuki gsxr750
Remove the riders seat and you'll see two bolts at the back of the tank...each side panel will need to be unclipped as they attach to the tank also.
Once done, the tank should be able to be slid backwards and lifted...just be careful of the fuel lines etc

Were is the rectifier at on a 750 gsxr 1990
Under the rear cowl, right side. You don't have to remove it all the way,but you do need to take all the bolts out to move it so you can access the voltage regulator and the plug/connector.
This is where mine was located. it has 2 bolts attached to the frame, i use a 10 mm socket to remove and replace it.
Should only take approx 1/2 hour or less from start to finish.
I had a 93' 750 and i miss it now.
love those older **** rockets.
Best regards
Big Al
Just stated to run bad
You should take off the carb and clean it with petrol and compressed air, after that try replacing the spark wich is @ the carb.

Hi guys ...please help ...... i removed my plug
It goes to the coil of course but it is more than likely made into the coil and cannot be r replaced with replacing the coil. Call the Suzuki dealer and try to buy just the coil wire.
Good Luck

How do i change the oil on my 1990 suzuki gsxr 750
put oil catch pan under bike loosen drain bolt at the bottom of the engine always located at the lowest point when on kickstand. And then take drain fill cap off let fully drain...take off filter..I"ve never had a problem getting them off, but if you do, you'll need a filter wrench to loosen it. Now after its drained, reinstall drain bolt, torque down good and snug... if filter comes with new drain plug washer use new one...now take some clean 10w40 motorcycle oil and wet your finger and lube the filter gasket, this always helps when it come time to remove it.. and hand tightenen as tight as you can get it. Now most all bikes take around 3 qts, pour in 2 and 1/2 quartsm right away, and then start the bike for about 30 seconds, and let the oil get into the filter, turn off and let settle a bit check dip stick by only dropping it in with the bike upright. Then proceed to add oil only to about 3/4 from full..this will insure that you dont overfill...you never want to overfill. It could ruin the engine. Now stick the cap back on and take it for a test drive and get the oil hot,..turn off bike, hold it upright, and check level one more time... and top off if you choose, older bikes should ALWAYS stick with 10w40 and nothing else, dont put in any additives or synthetics this could cause clutch plate slippage. oh and i forgot you will probably have to take off one of your side covers to get to the oil filter and maybe even the drain plug.
1991 GSXR 750 cutting on low revs
run a can of Seaforam in the tank..purchase from Autozone put in 1/3 to two gallons gas drive it around for at least 10 miles to insure it cleans out the whole carb system.if that doesnt work, check all carb hose fittings when bike is at idle spray some Chemtool B-12 ( also at Autozone) around the carb hoses and manifolds..if idle increses thats your problem. Caution: chemtool is very toxic wear gloves and a mask.
Fuel not geting to carburetors and bike won't stay started
Very common problem, You will have to remove the carb.s and clean them. Gas dries and turns to varnish after 3-4 months, this dried gas clogs up the jets and ports in the carb.s. If you chose to do this your self there are adjustment screws on the bottom do not mess with these screws. Just clean the bowls and jets, clean one at the time so you do not mix up parts.
Trying to fit 34mm flatslide carbs into 38mm inlet
To my knowledge there are no reducer kits manufactured for what you are attempting. That doesnt mean it cant be done you will need to find a suitable piece of rubber hose to fit tight into the existing manifolds once you have found that you will need to perfectly seal the join then fit the carbs if you need to make the I.D of the inserted hose a little larger this can be done with the aid of a die grinder do this carefully I cant emphasize strongly enough the need for perfect air tight joins leaking joinswill lead tothe engine sucking air makeing all your hard work a waste of time do it right do it once however haveing told you one way of achieveing what your attempting why not opt for a set of 38 ml carbs it would be a lot less effort with probably a more satisfactory out come performance wise. Good luck Geoff
