2009 Kawasaki KLX 250 will not go into gear
1. Yes, this is a major issue! Its not the shift drum cam unless its broken in half. It might be the shift forks, Won't go into any gear? Is there spring pressure in the shifter or does it flop? Is the shifter TIGHT on the shift shaft? I think its time for a professional to look at it.
2007 Kawasaki KLX 250 no spark
Trouble shooting solid state ignition systems are better left to someone with a factory service manual and a multimeter. sorry,,,
2007 Kawasaki KLX 250 transmission overhaul
Matthew, this is a bigger job than a "shade tree" or someone that is NOT VERY experienced. It can be complicated. Sometimes a transmission can be a tough fix! I would ONLY trust this is a factory trained professional!!! Sounds like you have considerable damage!!
Engine stops when you put it in first gear, the
the fuel mix is too lean, have you fitted an after-market air filter? if so you may need to adjust the throttle jet needle to compensate-take the carb top off,you will see that the needle has more than one groove held by a clip-lift it to the next groove to enrich the fuel/air ratio
Hi im having a problem
Is the clicking when you try to start the bike? You may not have tightened the terminals enough on the battery.
Alex.
I am fitting a temp gauge to my klx is the best
In the upper raditor hose or either end of the upper raditor hose or on or threaded intot the therostate housing ( just like a car) and for the same reasons. You need to know if the cooling system is ( up to temperture) and ( maintang the right temperture ) and able to keep up with any overload or high stress use. It's important to use the smallest senser as possible so as to not block coolant flow. Many motorcycle systems are right at the ragged edge to being big enough and are'nt truly big enough to be over used ( hopped up) with out something having to be larger. Bigger engines raditor, extra cooling fan or duct work avoiding idel time and slow running all can help. City riding in hot weather is hard on all motorcycles as the airs not moving the big street bikes have fans, and bigger batteries and charging systems but dirt bikes are highly concerned with whiet and theirfor easy to overload.
How do i change the front break pads on 2008 klx
Unbolt the caliper from the front fork.Loosen brake fluid reservoir cap on throttle side of handle bar. Remove the outboard pad ( pad on outside of caliper) and use a 6 inch C clamp to depress piston back into caliper housing. Make sure the clamp presses on the old pad and not directly on the piston end as you might press the piston sideways and scar up the cylinder wall, ruining the caliper. Compress piston until it is flush on the inside case of the caliper. Let sit 5 minutes for the pressure to leak down to keep the piston in place. Remove clamp and inboard pad and replace pads. Remount caliper, tighten bolts and pull the brake lever 5 or 6 times. Check brake fluid level with handlebars straight and top off if necessary.
Hope this helps!!
If we do not start the bikes every week they are
If the batterys seem low you should get a batery tender. If they act like they're just not getting enough gas. Pull the throttle a few times to make sure gas is getting to the cylinder, try cranking it as you are pulling the throttle on the first couple of pulls then let it set a few seconds then start it, it should crank.
Hi there, i have a KLX 250 2007,the problem with
pull back on the throttle to make sure the cylinder is getting gas. Also try hooking it up to a car battery via jumper cables see if that helps it turn over better. if so the battery is probably getting week and needs to be changed. And your carborator needs to be cleaned. Air filter needs to be cleaned weekly.
2004 kx 250 dont know
Yes. This is completely normal. On two stroke engines they need to run at high rpm's to keep the plug clean. When you ride around without going up on the power band then it gets way too much fuel. And with oil mixed in with the fuel then it will foul plugs. It won't hurt anything internally. You will just have to continue changing the spark plugs.
