Cant get the riders seat off

Look for a lock that your key will fit into at the rear under the passenger seat. Lift the passenger seat and look for a cable with a ring on it, look in the center under the mount to the front. Pull the ring and the seat should pop up at the rear and pull the seat back to slide it out of a tab there under the tank.

I cleaned the Carbs and bike runs great at lower

That's because the high speed jets are probably still clogged/gummed up. Try something called Sea-Foam in the gas tank, may help.

very easy. support the bike so the front wheel is off the ground. Remove, first the brake callipers, then the front mudgaurd, then the wheel. Loosen the clamps that are holding the fork tubes in place, and let them drop down, and remove.

I have a 2000 zx6r

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, "sputtering" at 3K would indicate an air leak and/or a very lean mix; too much air, too litlle fuel. To confirm check the sparkplugs. If the tips are whitish gray, then the lean mix is confirmed.

Offhand, if the bike in neutral will rev past 3K, possibilities are:
  • an aftermarket open breather air filter is installed but there was no re-jet done on the carbs;
  • an aftermarket exhaust is installed but there was no re-jet done on the carbs;
  • there is no air filter installed or not installed correctly;
  • the airbox is not sealed;
  • the airbox to carb rubber coupling is loose.

Alternately, it could be fuel starvation, check fuel delivery to carbs. Drain each carb and measure / compare the quantity from each bowl.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Belt light came on

It can be one of a few things, if the units power is limited now since the belt light came on that its in "belt failure mode" if the light is just on its warning you that its been 100 hours and that your belt need to be checked for wear and servicing. You should have a qualified mechanic look at the belt and then they can reset the belt hour meter.

How do i remove the coil to change my spark plugs

Those are stick coils, just unplug the connector at the top pf the coil and then they just pull out, there is rubber around the coils and sometimes they want to stick in the hole, just give them a pull, you can spay a little window cleaner on them when you put them back in, so they slide eaiser.

I have cleaned everything in the carbs put new

first do the easiest go to Autozone and purchase a can of Sea Foam pour in 1/3 can to two gallons of fresh fuel... if you can clean out or replace fuel filter. Now start it up ...if it wont start then push start it and get on it an go;drive it on an open highway for about 10 to 15 miles and see if it clears up the problem. it took me 11 miles of sputting then all of the sudden in the middle of a turn all my horse power came back. Now if that didn't fix it, take one of your spark plugs out and let it hang and touch the frame crank it over an see if its getting a "big fat bluish spark" if it looks "purplish-red" thats no good, and you need to ohm out the pulse generator system. follow wire harness from pulse generator to nearest disconnect and ohm out the wires, should be four wires measure two at a time you should get approx 400 to 500 ohms, when i had a problem i was reading 136ohms on one set and an open on the other..i took off the cover and looked at it and you could see that one of the was burnt..so i replaced it and it started up good and ran like new.
hope this helps out or at least guides you closer to a fix..let me know if it helped thanks!

Need keycode

Unfortunately if you don’t have the number that was on your key you will not be able to get a key made that way, you can remove your ignition switch and send to Lock World, they can make you a key that way its better than buying a lock set from Kawasaki it would be a lot cheaper. Give them a call.
