Hi
Some bikes have a vacuum petcock. Whenever the bike started up the petcock opened itself up and whenever it shut down, the petcock shut down too. Check to see if the petcock is set to on. Check to see if the fuel line is hooked up. Check to see if you have a vacuum line, and if it's hooked up. Check to see if the gas tank were possible vacuum locking due to a clogged vent. Alternately haul off the carbs and clean them out. Check to see if the fuel filter is clogged. Also after cleaning the carb and refitting it you will need to add vacuum to that fitting. It is a safety devise to shut the fuel off to the carb. In case the rider forgets a small hand vacuum pump from harbor freight will do the job just fine

check your de-tenton spring and roller on the shift drum "star" behind the clutch basket. The worst case is that you shift forks could be bent or the under cut gears in your trany may be worn.
Let me know if you need help getting to backside of the clutch basket.

I only have 1 wire
depends on the accasories you have, starts with one wire at battery to fusebox
How to hook up fuel lines
fuel lines on my Honda Interceptor consist of rubber reinforced hoses with clamps on the ends connecting the gas tank to the carburetors.
My gear shifter is loose. where it sits is there
There is no bearing.
Take it apart & replace worn parts or get a bush made to fit the shaft, then drill & **** the hole to accept the bush - lubricate well
Hope this helps (if so please mark as very helpful)

Oil leak from motor. possibly coming from side
depends on what side its coming from if its the left then i would check the output shaft seal out and while near there check the gear selector shaft seal both are cheap and easy to replace and just check the other casings to see if the gaskets have started to deteriate causing a leak hope this helps
I installed a new stator/generator and a voltage
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
The heating up would be normal as relatively, high current is passing through these wires/terminals not only to charge the battery but to power the electrics of the bike. If the regulator is working correctly, it would soon dwindle down since presumably the battery has been charged. Almost always, the connector used is not plastic but phenolic or epoxy based due to this very reason. Another possible reason for excessive heat is that the terminals are not tighly fitted to its counterpart connector. A loose connector would result in a slight voltage drop but high current accross the connection.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

did you turn the fuel petcock back to the "on" position? ok that checks good step 2 maybe the filter is clogged. try changing the filter. or make sure that lack of fuel is causing the no start issue.
