Not much you can do for this problem. The acid that attacks rust is phosphoric acid. and will be a starting point. IF the rust is flaky put some sharp edged pebbles in it and shake hard to help remove loose rust. (like sand blasting by hand). Use no other acids as they will attack the metal and not the rust. The stronger the phosphoric acid concentration the better. Can be obtained from large hardware stores as a rust converter.

Sounds more like the battery may be dead... take the battery to O'Reilly's or Autozone and check the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps).. amperage is what starts your bike.. not voltage.. then see what happens...Next, its time to trace voltage.. make sure you are getting voltage from the battery to the solenoid.. then from the solenoid to the starter,,

Sounds like the wires have been plugged in wrong. You should be able to find schematics online for it. No that is either poor ring seal or loose valve guides, you need to rebuild the engine most likely.

Not good, too much pressure in crankcase, result from bad piston rings. If you are lucky, there can be clogged rubber pipe from engine to filter case.

Well if its running good and you don't here any out of the ordinary rattling I wouldn't worry about it until at least 25,000-30,000 miles on the bike so probabley in another 10,000 miles or so have the valves adjusted unless you hear any unordinary rattling noises sooner then go in at that point and have them adjusted.
