Will my 97 cbr 900 run with the stator unplugged?

Perhaps it will run for a few seconds or minutes but it will die eventually. Stock bikes cannot run just with their battery. You need to have your stator repaired.

My speedo light is out on my 97 blade. How do i change it?

I think its very similar to my 89 NC30, there should be some rubber 'bungs' with wires on them on the back of your clocks that you can pull out and there will be some very small bulbs inside the bungs when viewed from the front. NOTE - you may have to take out a couple screws to access the back of the clocks, but it shouldn't be anything major

Probably an electrical short that was agrrevated by the water. Double check your battery terminals, remove, clean and re-install them. Check the mating surface between the ground and chassis. After that, follow the positive lead from the battery to the stater motor, looking for any nicks that may be grounding out. If that's still no joy, check the starter relay with a multimeter. Those proceedures can be easily found through a google search...

When is the fan ment

The fan is thermostatically controlled and the coolant temperature needs to reach the upper level before it will "kick in". Surprisingly as long as the motorcycle is moving forward specially on a fairing type motorcycle the head is dispersed rapidly by the air moving over the radiator fins.
If you were in stop and go traffic with extended idle times then yes the fan will or should kick in.

Both my Goldwings had temperature gauges and were full fairing motorcycles sitting in rush hour traffic I could watch the gauge climb at a traffic light and steadily drop off even at 25mph.

What you may be feeling is the heat rolling out from under the fairing to the rear of the engine which on a hot day and low speeds is enough to feel as if both you and the motorcycle are overheating.

What I've done with my 750 Magna is roll into my drive (on a hot day after being in traffic) leave the ignition on and hit the kill switch, maybe a minute later the fan will kick in for about 40 seconds and shuts off. Just my way of checking.

Another thing on the Fireblade you might not hear the fan over the "normal" engine sound these fans are quiet and that's one reason I did the kill switch shut off so I could hear the fan.

Also the coolant used in a motorcycle is much more efficient then any automotive type and should never be substituted for any automotive type.

Cheers be safe and enjoy your motorcycle

How do you remove the 'Petrol' from the carbs on a

If you release the float chambers from the base of the carbs, the petrol will spill out and leave a dry chamber.
A bit fiddly but I have never known petrol to be too old. It has been in the ground for a few million years!

I wanna make ma bike more faster

The easiest cheapest way to get more power to the rear wheel of a chain drive motorcycle is to install a smaller counter shaft sprocket than the one that is on the bike right now. Usually one tooth less than what is on the bike right now will do. Example: 15 to 14 or 13 to 12 The top speed of your bike may drop from 130 mph to 120 mph but most people don't get to use that anyway. This simple mod may allow you to raise the front wheel in higher gears.

RECENTLY I REPLACED 3 GEAR EVRYTHING SEEMED TO BE

You have to check the dog ends of those gears, not the teeth. The dogs are what holds it in gear, If they are the slightest bit worn or chipped off, at the ends, it will jump out of gear. Sometimes you can grind them down, but rarely. I see a bunch of complete transmissions on ebay, I don't know about yours or not, but it would be cheaper than buying retail. Check also for bent shift rods, any shims missing, go by the schematic if you have one. I'm sure you can find one, Bike bandit maybe. Hope this helps.

No ignition lights battery seems fine everthing

check the wires to the starter motor. check the wiring going to the battery, if it has power the lights should at least come on, turn the key forward (hand on clutch or in nuetral) and mess with the battery cables, i think that is where you will find your solution.

Fireblade wont start just backfires

It sounds as if the timing is out. But having a manual will do you no harm. There is only a 98 one available (unless I missed it) so good luck.
