is the clutch loose, you can try tightening the clutch cable where it enters the engine compartment there should be a adjustable nut on the thread, try tightening it

take a fancy manifold and a bit of jetting wizardry i think

Where is the noise from exactly? It sounds like clutch basket rattle, often happens when idling, worse when cold, not so bad as engine warms up. If it's from the top end it's probably tappets. Change the oil if you haven't recently done so and see if that helps. clutch basket is no problem unless it gets REALLY noisy and gearchanges are difficult, then change clutch plates and clean up basket. Tappets or shims will need to be done at next service so performance will be maintained, if it's top end.

there is a control unit under the seat called a rectifier this what failed on my bike, try ebay for one I only paid £10 so cheap fix
