Is your air cleaner good?

This is not an error code,this is a parts number!

Electronic ignition? Have you been working on it?

check your shutoff valve on the tank you might have a small piece of junk blocking it inside your tank...easy way to tell is when you have loss of power stop and shake bike side to side

There is a round plate on the right side of your engine. This is the timer cavity. It has the sensor inside it and it provides the pulses for your tachometer as well.

this may be the sensor problem.try changing the pick up sensor.
if the sensor is ok then it may be the cable which transmitts the signal may get damaged.check the cable for continuity.
if this also seems to be ok then the problem presists with the speedometer itself this may corrected by servicing the speedometer or changing the meter with new one.

It may be your "check engine" light or charging system light. You didn't go into any great detail, so I'm not sure. Check the charging system is by hookin up a volt meter set to 20v across the battery + and - terminals. Should read 12.5 or higher without the bike running. Start the bike and you should get 14.3. This is a BASIC test and even if the bike passes you can STILL have charging problems. The check engine light will have to be diagnosed by a dealer unless you or a friend has a scanner to pull the trouble codes from the computer.

replace key switch, or wire in a switch to kill lights.

I am assuming you checked to make sure the battery is charged? When my ignitions switch went bad it showed signs of failure first I had to jiggle the key to get it to work. That being said it could be the switch, it is a very simple change and if you get an after market switch not that expensive. The Harley switch is $40.00 I got an after market for around $15.00.

well....I would say the RUSH slip on's have a nice sound and give some performance increase. I put them on my XL883 and now it sounds like a harley instead of a moped. They have a nice deep sound to them and have a good bark to them when you get on it, but at cruise tame down to a nice rumble. You can put on the rush slip on's up to a 2" baffle with out needing to remap, now when you change your air cleaner too, a remap would be in order.
