How is the transmission otherwise??? Change oil, flush oil and check again soon. If more filings pull the transmission apart and inspect it internally.

Likely if the battery is in fact good that it is the large contactor in the solenoid cap.

Clutch is in the primary so use Formula Plus or Syn3 and fill it only until it touches the bottom of the clutch spring.

Did you mean the starter and the clutch or are you calling the starter jackshaft assembly the starter clutch and meaning that instead.. If you are not referring to the jackshaft please post again describing exactly what you want to know about.
