That is the return and reserve valve. The rubber pipes that attach to it are know for accelerated ageing - most likely you have bumped into one, that has created an small initial crack that quite rapidly has increased by itself.
You will have to replace the pipes, While doing that inspect the valve and its attachment point to the tank.

I am pretty sure that there is a cable on the late model K1200LTs that allows connection of an ipod or other such device.

you could buy a lower seat but its pricy,,or if you only need a small drop you could let the forks down into the stearing yokes that will give you a fuw mm (ie:25) but it would lower the hole bike?

holy mackerel bat man, its a ****** motor cycle not a car wow that is so wrong. moved YAH" the mc and slave can seize up,. for sure using wrong fluids in the mC, or bad luck. make sure the MC and slave work perfectly first then if do the clutch main is bad. a real shop check all that out first then a new clutch pack installed or he finds springs n the cage all wrecked. what you find i can not guess, but do know how. mc this too can seize up as can any slave made car or bike or scooter

I suspect oil not draining from the rocker covers and instead draining into the cylinders. Could give it an oil change which should clear blockages.
