I have an oil leak from where the stator wires come out of the primary cover. Is there a way other than changing the whole stator to fix it?
you have some seals that are leaking from around the crankshaft the stator is supposed to be sealed from the oil you wont have to change the stator just the crank seal

Idel adjustment on fuel injected road king. Not on a carburated system.
Idle adjustment is through the ECM and factory set. If you are having idle issues there are potentionally a number of reasons why*. If you are just wanting to change your idle speed then you would need to purchase an interface such as the Screamin Eagle Race Tuner.
*IAC - Idle Air Control motor
Throttle Position Sensor
Injector malfunction
Intake Air Temperature Sensor
Just to name a few.

oil leak -between inner primary and transmission . Changed broken belt and now I have this leak. I put new mainshaft seal and jackshaft seal. Help!!!
There are several seals that can leak in this area. You say you replaced the mainshaft seal in the back of the primary. I've seen a lot of people replace this seal only to have it start leaking immediately. The reason was that they didn't know you must lubricate the seal before you reinstall the primary cover. When you put the primary cover on with the seal dry, when the engine starts up, the mainshaft immediately goes to 1000 RPM or higher with no lubrication on the seal. The friction burns the lip of the seal up before the lubrication in the primary can get there. It only take a second, literally.
Other seals that can cause leaks in this area are the large final drive gear seal in the face of the transmission behind the front belt pulley and the "Quad" seal that is inside the transmission. The Quad seal is almost like an O-ring. It's purpose is to prevent transmission lubricant from seeping out through the splines of the final drive gear. If the front sprocket splines wear and the sprocket gets the slightest bit loose, the compression on the Quad seal will be lost and the tranny will leak. The tale tell sign on this leak is that the transmission will leak a spot of oil about the size of a quarter or a bit bigger when you park the bike. If you wipe up the spot, it won't leak anymore until you either ride the bike or simply start the engine. Then it'll leak that quarter sized spot and stop. Check your lube level in your transmission.
Whenever I pull the inner primary and the belt on a Big Twin, I replace ALL the seals. Make sure you lubricate the lips on the seals so they don't cook before lubrication can get to the seal.
Good Luck

Changing the speed sensor on a 2001 FLHRCI where will I find the connection for the electronic speed sensor harness? @
Hi, Bherzberg969 for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can not find the best tool you ever bought for your Harley, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.
For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need for viewing or printing please click on the blue links below and for more specific information or questions at no charge please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Good luck and have a wonderful day.

on my pipes one side is hot and the other is cold
Check the pipe right where they come out of the heads. It depends on what type of exhaust system you have on your Road King. If the stock exhaust is on the bike, the rear cylinder exhaust is directed to both mufflers. With the exhaust from the front and part of the exhaust from the rear cylinders going to the right side muffler, it gets more exhaust than the left side and runs hotter. Like I said, check the temp of the exhaust pipes at the cylinder heads. If one of them is cold, that cylinder is not firing. As long as both of the pipes are hot there, you're fine. Just ride the bike and have fun.
Ride Safe.

is there an online 2000 road king repair manual @
I doubt seriously that you are going to find an online service manual for your bike. The reason is that Harley-Davidson is very protective of their copyrighted material. I'm not saying that you can't find out how to fix a particular problem online but a downloadable service manual is something that I've never seen unless it was for some very old or no longer made Harley, like maybe the Italian Harleys. Go to this site to find your service manual but you'll have to buy it if you want it.
http://www.diyrepairmanuals.com/makes.asp I'm sorry I can't help anymore than that because if I could find the manuals online, I'd download every one of them. Sure would help in what I'm doing here and out in the shop.
Good Luck
