Possibly carb needs rejetting after aftermarket exhaust was installed

Turn off fuel tank petcock valve. Remove complete air filter assembly. Disconnect fuel hose from bottom of petcock(may have to cut hose clamp off and will have to replace with a regular worm screw hose clamp). Hold a rag around the end of the hose where you are pulling it off to catch and squirted fuel. You then pull hose off the carbs elbow fitting the same way you did at the other end. If hose on carb is not easy to access, you may have to pull the carb out of the rubber boot that connects the carb into the intake manifold. Replace hose with same length of new hose which is 1/4" fuel line hose. Reassemble in reverse order using the above mentioned worm screw hose clamps.

Starter is just behind the rear cylinder and above the transmission casing. It should easily be seen from the right side of the bike when you look between the rear cylinder and under the oil tank. The battery cable should be connected near the top closest to you when viewing from that same side.

I don't know an answer for you except that you try googling it and/or see if you can find anyone dealing with lehman or that used to deal with lehman. I am posting this now as I have seen your question hanging around unanswered for too long a time period that it does not appear you are going to get a better answer by waiting longer.

what oil you using? sounds like oil is heating up and not protecting like it should. Can you see any marks anywhere that its tapping?

Its probable simple it very often is with Harley's I think you may have an engine exhause that may have an air leek, even though you hear no sound from the exhaust that may give you clue, just make sure all carbs/injectors, air box and exhaust's are on tightly go can be as carfull as you like it happens to the best of us even me after 42yrs of bikeing I hope this solves you problem its due to old idears on bikes *** bikes have different methods but its impossble work on them at leat you can repair a Harly, Good luch chum some time you need an artificial sealer dont ask me what.

Does it die completely or just for a short time?? Could be as simple as a faulty accelerator pump system. Give more information please.

I need a better description of what you are talking about. Also what do you mean all terminals are taped??

Depending on the age/mileage and how it is/has been driven I would say anywhere from about 100 to 140 PSI. The big thing is not a great difference between the two cylinders. Anything lower and there is wear etc. and anything higher and the engine carboned up.

Sorry I do not go back to 1990 but if you go to a Harley parts person they cna likley print you off such.

You would be better to post this under a HONDA site or heading than a AHrley one.

If the enrichener is still on somewhat it is intended to do this. If not you likely have an intake air leak downstream of the carb. With it running spray wd40 or water, (HARLEY also have a proposal to do so with the use of propane like from a small unlit propane torch but you would need to have the expertise to do this and still be very careful with it) all around the induction system and carb mounting seals and if the rpm changes you have found a leak. It will idle higher than normal as the extra air entering downstream of the venturi leans out the air/fuel ratio.

Spark plug is likely no good. Also check the HT wires. It is not likely the coil if it works when hot BUT you could have a poor/corroded primary ignition connection that breaks when cold and makes when warm or hot. Check all of these things. You could also have a very bad, cracked or etc intake deal to that cylinder and you could check it by spraying some water on the seal area at the head and see if there is any change, OR very carefully and only of you have the expertise to do so carefully and appropriately etc, some propane gas in the same area. It is likely not a fuel/air problem though, most likely a poor, even if god looking and properly gapped, spark plug.

I can tell you how to remove the starter, and it is rebuildable, but it doesnt SOUND like a bad starter. THE FIRST thing I would do is check all the battery cable connections. Loosen and retighten them and see if that helps.

It is designed to do that with the enrichener on even a small amount.

There is a lighting fuse and there is headlight wiring but what is it that you are asking or wondering about??
