it is possible. you just need to get the wires connecting right

on that bike your options are probally going to be few.. for the shocks you want to go with something inexpensive no need to get a fox shock. just get a regular coil over.. tire, I live by dunlop, I am sure they have a good tire and do get a good one, cheap tires dont last as long.. chain and sprocket, you can probally get a kit a package deal again your options will be limited but just make sure you get an oring chain it will last alot longer mabye DID or RK

Sounds like they need a damn good clean.
Corrosion eats away at the calipers, so strip them down & clean well. Be sure to remove the rubber boots as corrosion behind them grips on the shaft causing the caliper to not float & the brakes lock-on
If your wheel wont turn at all then hit the caliper bodies with a rubber mallet - dont hit the bleed nipple!!

Ok simple things first have you checked the fuse if so does it have light hor & indicators I so youwill more than likely find that you have in your words fried the starter solonoid be sure to check all the wireing it could be fried any where electrical burns are usualy easaly located but sometimes the hide you will need to be diligent in yor search all the best.Geoff

Your problem sounds fuel related, firstly check the vacuum lines from the carbies is connected to the Petcock valve, alternatively use the Prime position. see what happens. If still no good it might be that the fuel is stale and should be changed - drain the fuel tank and carbies, add new fresh fuel and try again. Another thing to look for would be air leaks around the intake manifolds

mostly depends on your CDI manufacturer. Most will work with the standard coils. That said if you are into that much, why not put in a hotter coil and get a little more performance.

The stock rear sprocket is 41 tooth. The stock front sprocket is 15 tooth. The stock chain is 630 x 96. You can get OEM parts at www.babbittsonline.com/parts/viewbybrand/parts.aspx

Rear sprocket is $52.91. front sprocket is $21.74 and chain is $201.07

if old gas has sat in the carbs and fuel tank for sometime, they should all be removed and thoroughly cleaned and serviced. this will require dissassembly to an extent. the tank will need cleaning as well to ensure nothing gets back in the carbs after they are reinstalled. the carbs will needs resetting and syncronizing. install a new fuel filter at this time also. ensure a clean air filter and if you smell gas in the oil, change it before starting.

Try using a brass washer in the thread area. Also there might be a hair-line crack in the thread area that could be welded. A teflon tape is another easy fit.

To get you close set them about 10 degree past TDC. This would be a good starting point.

it should be directly below the carborators on the left side. it will have a domed plate over it made of steel instead of aluminium like almost everything else on the engine.

under the ignition key loc there shud be a 6 digit #-its easy to see it in dark with flashlite-u mite have to take ign set out-each bike is different-or u could get the vin # and ask a dealer or salvage yard

from left to right while sitting on the bike, it is 1-3-2-4

Sounds like one or more Carburetor float valve is stuck open. Carburetors need overhaul. Gas in crankcase is not only damaging to engine, but dangerous.

the problem is in master cylinder-needs to be replaced or inspected-purchase a clymer manual--u can ride without a front brake by law-wen I built choppers we never had a front one
