If you are serious about more
HP then get a race cam for the bike. Hold tight to the handlebars.
Contact
Web Cam Racing (1-951-369-5144) in California and they can fix you up. I estimate $300us. Add and shipping both ways. The
web address is
www.webcamshafts.com You would ship your cam to them by Federal Express and they would modify the cam to your specifications then send it back. Neither you or I can give them degree angles for rise or duration or any other spec they may need, so you just need to tell them what type of racing you do (street, track, quarter mile etc ), and what you want from the cam, take off from the line, top end speed, torque, etc..
Basically, tell them you just want to wax anyone dumb enough to challenge you street.Don't get too radical with the cam. Go too far and the bike will only start with a
car pulling you at 30 mph.
I am serious. Tell them you want to start the engine using the kick starter. Also tell them any modifications you have made > air cleaner, sprockets,
tires, exhaust etc.. ASK FOR THEIR
RECOMMENDATIONS on the above and on ignition timing. You may have to get a different CDI to manage the more radical timing. Okay, I have given you my best. As I said, hold on tight to the bars. Do me a favor and don't kill yourself. You are playing with fire here.
I am serious about that as well. I forgot to ask / mention, who will do the cam removal and re-install the cam? I strongly suggest the dealers service department so you have an
experienced hand in the mix. Also, you will probably need to re-jet the
carb. Ask the cam shop about that as well. There may well be a cam shop in Malaysia or closer than California in the USA. Check around
