have you tried the plug and carby setting .. i have a similar issue but cannot tune the carby correct
My 2001 KTM 250sx is stuck in gear, the shifter moves.
It sounds like the end of the shifting shaft has broke loose, it is a welded joint, If you can grab the shifter with your hand and feel that thing slip in there, up and down, that might be the problem, but splitting that case, ugh, total rebuild.Too bad you can't get to it through the clutch. Hope this helps.
HOW BIG CAN U BORE UP A 2001 SX 250 KTM
I believe that is a Nikosol cylinder so you can't bore it at all... If it is not .090" is usually the most you should go but you might find a shop that will go a little more. If you just want more power (couldn't imagine why, those bikes are ridiculously fast) buy a big bore kit, you should be able to go I think somewhere around 330cc's...

How do you split cases?
Check again for a bolt on the inside surfaces of the cases. All bolts are NOT on the edges!!!
Blowing blue smoke
Bad piston / rings or perhaps a blockage in the crankcase ventilation system.A compression test will tell you the condition of your piston / ring / cylinder. Look closely around your engine for fresh sign of oil "weeping" from any gasket surfaces. This may help determine a blocked vent as pressure can build in the crankcase and find any way out it can via gaskets / seals / or past the rings into the combustion chamber.

2011 KTM 250 SX
That will be either adjustment, bent plates or the oil used is the wrong grade. As it is a 2011 model, it will be covered under warranty.
I have a 2009 SX
If you don't mind a few oil drips on the garage floor it should not hurt anything provided the leak isn't so bad that a constant drip is present. Running out of gearbox oil would not be a good thing. Why not just get a new seal?
Hi ya my ktm is stuck in gear wat do u recon the
If the engine still turns, you will most likely need to get the transmission (Cases) split open. First check to see if the shifter lever moves up and down, and if not, this may be a good place to look into. If not, a bent shift fork, notched shift drum, or bad gear could be the issue.
