Yes. My Firebolt did the same thing and it was just the battery. They dont do well thru the winter without a tender on them or regular starting.

Engine light coming on

Either take it to a buell dealer or get a copy of ECMSPY and a cable and check it yourself. www.buellxb.com is a great source of info for your problems.

How do you access spark plugs to replace them

b> I understand yourproblem, since its located behind the frame. Please use regular socket / fastener to loosen them. Then use the rubber hose to get them out. Reverse the method when fitthe new spark plugs. This method will save your times

2008 firebolt spark plugs

Yeah...you can take off the airbox cover without having to rip the whole plastic thing off of the seal(you'll see what I mean). This will give you enough room to see the top of the plug. At this point you'll need to take off the plastic thing which directs the air into the box (left side of the bike) so you can reach under the plug to put the new one in place and to take off the leads. I'm not in my garage but you'll need a 360 degree socket swivel and an extendor to change that out and get the right torque. You can pick up one of these extendor kits at most hardware stores.
Good luck
