that would be a problem with either the alternator, or voltage regulator. make sure alternator belt is not slipping, then check with voltage tester at the alternator for voltage. if that reads good, then replace regulator.

The carb choke circuit is most likely plugged which is why it has slow starting. The clunk may be from the engine idle being set to high. It probably is running high idle because it has carb issues and the fuel system may need cleaning.

1 check and clean fuel tank and lines 2 clear air filter, soapy water air dry then apply any air cleaner oil 3 adjust carb / chock 4 check for proper spark replace plug (2.99 ) 5 make sure drive belt in good working order. odds are the carb chock should fix you right up
