2010 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Anyone know if i can put fatboy rims on my flstc...
Are your tire pressures correct? You should be getting approx. twice the mileage from your tires. Changing rims isn't going to help you. The tires will be the same, we just won't put tubes in them.

Backfire on 2010 flstc?
Backfiring is caused by a lean air/fuel (A/F) ratio. A leaner A/F ratio takes longer to burn and will continue to burn in the exhaust, hence the backfiring. Is the bike stock, or have you changed the air cleaner or pipes? Both of these changes will result in a leaner A/F ratio. HD bikes with fuel injection already run lean to meet emissions requirements, so changing pipes, etc. will make the problem worse. If you have not made any changes to the bike, make sure that the fuel system is clean and you are using good quality gas. You can also have the bike's computer (ECU) remapped to run a little richer. Your dealer may be able to do this for you, or there are aftermarket ECU tuners available for your bike that can adjust the fuel map and ignition. These will give you the added benefit of more power and a cooler running engine.

1992 Harley-Davidson Softail Heritage Classic. What engine is this, engine # BLLN011421?
If the serial number on your motor doesn't correspond directly to an S&S motor, it's possible that the lower end, which includes the crankcase, might be a Harley Davidson component. S&S often manufactures performance parts that are compatible with Harley engines, including jugs and heads, which might be installed on a Harley lower end. This hybrid setup isn't uncommon in customized or modified motorcycles. It might be beneficial to consult with a motorcycle mechanic or a specialist familiar with Harley and S&S components to verify the specifics of your engine setup.
2004 FLSTCI. What causes it to run hot?
Maybe..but ushud hava datastream run to help pinpoint issue. You can git the computer reflashd or programd..but uneed an oldschool mechanic. Dealerships etc are usually not as xperiencd. Buy a clymer shop book for total upkeep&rebuild. If fuel system runs to lean the engine valves get hot n ruin the motor
