Engine problems
Sounds like it could be the kicker spring. If it is getting weak it could be not fully returning which in turn is still engaged while it's running. I would pull the cover and see if there's any debris in the housing. Sounds like it could be the spring or the assembly itself, but you won't really know until you pull it apart. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Can you explain to me
Go to the website below and you can see an exploded view of the clutch assembly. Do the "
Parts search by model". If that doesn't answer what you need, reply with specific questions and I will try to help further. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Hi my 07 crf 250r
Sounds like a bad seal on the water pump is letting coolant into the gearbox. The pressure blowing the steam out is from blow-by > compression getting past the piston rings. Having some blow-by is normal. That's why they have a crankcase breather. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

I HAVE A 2003 HONDA
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, a couple of checks for a no spark / fire on a Honda CR 250:
- check / replace the plugs if have not been tried;
- check / clean / replace the plug's cap wire;
- check engine stop button or temporarily disconnect the black/white wire from the ICM (ignition control module) to the engine stop switch. Try again;
- check for high pulsating voltage between the blue and the white wire from the exciter coil going to the ICM;
- check for low pulsating voltage between the green/white and the blue/yellow wire from the ignition pulse generator going to the ICM;
- check for high pulsating voltage between the black/yellow and the green wire to the ignition coil coming from the ICM;
Reference below wiring diagram.
Note that the green wire is tied to the chassis / engine ground
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
I have a 2009 honda crf250r. i was riding and it
Is this the question I just posted a answer for? You ran your motorcycle with no oil, according to what you are telling us here, I would expect the engine to be ruined. If this is the case, you will have to replace the engine and transmission.
Pay? You will pay a lot to have this repair accomplished. It is my guess that IF you can get a complete motor from somewhere and install it yourself, that will be the cheapest repair you will find. Will it be setup correctly? That is a different question. If you want your 2009 motorcycle to run like a 2009 motorcycle, have Honda replace the engine and get it set up for you.
If you bought this motorcycle from a authorized Honda dealer participating in the Honda Riders Club promotion, you can go to the club web site and get additional information there.
Im going out on a limb here ... but I would guess this work cannot be justified, economically.
I'm sorry you ruined your motorcycle because of a quart of oil.
