Rav4 engine light & auto lsd red blinking lights on

You recently changed the engine air filter and now, the Check Engine light is on and the LS D light flashing. When you opened the filter housing, you inadvertently disconnected a small hose that is connected to the housing. (See photo) This will result in the lights mentioned coming on. Simply reconnect the hose (it can be simply pushed in) and the engine will perform normally. The Check Engine light will still be on though. The error code will need to be cleared using a dongle that connects to the OBD ll connector under the driver side dashboard and an a smartphone app that connects to the dongle through Bluetooth.

Knocking sound from undercarriage

Yes, have your CV (Constant Velocity) Joint checked out ASAP. In order to prevent additional, very costly damage, you should discontinue driving until you can have it repaired. If mechanically inclined, then crawl under the front and inspect the boots over the CV joints. These will typically fail, allowing all of the grease to escape, and allowing water, dirt and other contaminates to enter. Look for a cracked boot and for grease slinging all over everything. I hope this helps. helpful-rmh1nkwavuqlpyc44d3sgb0s-4-0_3.png

1997 toyota Rav4 2L will not turn over or start, no clicking sound when turning the key! battery and wires are good and ignition relay switch has been replaced, lights and radio work

Did you check for power going to the starter. could be a connection on that side of things. should be able to pull starter and jump batt to it to see if gear pops out and spins.

Rav4 petrol starts for about 2 seconds then dies

check the crank sensor plug it might have water in there if the seal has gone. it will make engine run for a few seconds but if it don't register with the ecu properly it will cut engine, same with other senor plugs so check these for water. all you can find oil plug and so on. find the one with water in and clean it out and replace the seal on the plug.

1997 Toyota Rav4 driver side interior door handle broken

Parts can be had from a junk yard...remove door panel and push up on the connecting rod to open...generally, a little piece of plastic slips off or breaks inside the door. It is attached to a certain part of the rod. Should be white or clear plastic...look for the broken bits when door panel is removed so you know what you need....cheers

Where is the ambient temperature sensor on a 2011 Toyota Rav4

Look behind the front grille under the hood or inside the front bumper (I am not sure which version of the RAV4 you have and it depends on that). Basically it is a small black plastic thing with a white/clearish piece on top.

Car won't start...car is only 1 1/2 years old

When you say "won't start" do you mean the starter engages and the engine won't catch or do you mean silence when you turn the key like a completely dead battery? I had a recurring problem with silence and it turned out to be a battery cable going bad intermittently. Replaced both cables and never happened again.

Location of fuse box Toyota rav4 2008

There is more than one, do you know what fuse you are trying to replace? The first is under the steering wheel to the left side (between the wheel and the door). The second one is under the hood, right behind the battery (between the battery and the windshield).
