All the things you mention at the end would cause codes on a scan tool so it is unlikely to be those. A high end $5 grand scan tool computer should diagnose the acceleration issue, but they can't diagnose bearing or gears that are worn. You could try cleaning the Throttle Body and MAF.

what do you mean by deactivate? totally shut the alarm off? if thats what u min, under the dashbord look for the alarm unit, then pull it out from its socket connector... thats it, problem solve... if you dont know what alarm looks like, its a small box approx. 2x3 inches in size.

The problem is getting to ECM computer to understand where this strange engine has come from. The engine is driven by electronics, modules and sensors feeding information back to the ECM..

go to locksmith and say those words ignition lock key fob programming or the toy dealer. pick one.

Fix the leak first. Under pressure that will spray everywhere and douse the electrics.

Kerry, you can't just disconnect the battery to fix things. Yes it clears the code from the computer memory, but can do damage. You need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan took computer to read the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and the codes tell you the fix. hi i wish i knew if the car had more codes or if it runs good with this code you should be having some other problems because this the main battery supply to the ecm and the memory retention voltage sourse for the computer that is fed by a fuse in the fuse box so i would check all of my ground wires and check to see if any wire is damage or threding

I read at a rav4 forum where someone with no spark found out his igniter was bad. Happened to me on my Honda accord too.

The air fuel ratio sensor is located in the exhaust manifold before the convertor. It looks like a o2 sensor.
