The turn signals at the rear share the same bulb, same filament on the bulb even, as the brake lights. So if you have brake lights, the rear turn signal bulbs are good. If I recall, you access the rear bulbs from inside the trunk, and pretty easy to change bulbs. Look for a panel or trim piece in the trunk that covers the light bulb assemblies. You turn the bulb sockets a quarter turn counter-clockwise and pull them out, then you can replace the bulbs. They are two filament bulbs-one filament for the park lights (tail lights) and one filament that serves for brakes and turn signals together.
The flasher unit is a small round cylinder, I don't believe it was in the fuse box, but located up under the dash, close to the steering column. The hazard flasher unit was also up under there and looks the same. Look for them on a bracket near or by the steering column, possibly one on each side of the steering column To find the turn flasher, turn your hazard switch on. The little round unit that is clicking-you may hear it or feel it click with your finger on it-is the hazard flasher. The turn flasher will be the one that is not clicking. A little round cylinder is how you identify it.
flasher fuse needs replaced, usually have 2 one for flashers, and 1 for turn signals may be in fuse box, or just close to steering column usually a round metal type about a (quarter size round)
it sounds like you just have a bad flasher. its typically the size of a "c" battery and located under the dash on the driver side, no tools needed just twist it off and twist on a new one 5-15 dollars
most likely the flasher unit is dead , it is a cheap , plug in part that is usually found in the fuse box. I am not familiar with rx7's but i am sure you can find a fuse box diagram on line somewhere.
Oh you'll love this I just fixed that problem. Yes there is a flasher fuse there are actually three. One in the fuse box and two under the dash panel. Drop your plastic panel at the bottom and look for two half a dollar sized round fuses those are your flasher fuses. They run around two bucks at your nearest auto part I would replace both so you want have that problem again but yes there is a flasher fuse for it. Good luck
With your key on give a left or right turn signal. Try to listen and pinpoint the clicking of the turn signal flasher. Once you locate the turn signal flasher, your hazard flasher will look just like this and should be mounted nearby, typically next to it. The flasher simply pulls out and the new one just pushes in
I think its under the hood in the main fuse panel, its a round 2 or 3 prong silver looking flasher switch about as big around as a half dollar, bout a inch thick.
Check the thermal flasher. It is a little metal can about the size of a quarter located (usually) in the interior fuse panel. This panel usually located in the dash just to the left of where the drivers knee would be. You can get a replacement at any auto parts store.
Hope this helps Loringh PS Please leave a rating if appropriate Thanks
