Have a gmc 04 seirra a/c blows hot on driver side, passenger side works fine a/c controls are manuel, not digtal, any way to close vent on driver side where only cold air will come out of vents, cant afford to get fixed right, right now

I have had this problem. I am not a mechanic...so to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

you need to change drivers side temp door actuator then disconnect battery for 5 seconds and reconnect after changing the part, turn key on for 60 seconds with touching heater control to allow actuator to program and then it will work.

Sounds like there is a crack in the vent that leads to the drivers side, and hot air from the engine is leaking through.

Hissing is a vacuum leak. Loose hose, or defective actuator ar vent shutter.
