no idea to be honest earlier jeeps had then at the front of the wing down below as i remember ?? newer one would i imagine be in the electrical box under the bonnet near the battery
Disconnect the negative battery cable at battery. Drain coolant from radiator Remove the front grill . Remove the cooling fan from the engine, if equipped. Remove the two radiator mounting bolts. Disconnect both transmission cooler lines from radiator. Disconnect the connector for the electric fan. Disconnect the power steering cooler line from cooler. Disconnect the radiator upper and lower hoses. Disconnect the overflow hose from radiator. The lower part of radiator is equipped with two alignment dowel pins. They are located on the bottom of radiator tank and fit into rubber grommets. These rubber grommets are pressed into the radiator lower crossmember.
That sounds like your thermostat that is suppose to switch (it is a build in switch in the thermostat, on old cars and in new cars it communicate with your module i.a.w it is like a computer that controle everything) the fan of when it reached the preferred temperature, you can replace the thermostat or you can put in a manual switch (not recomended) because if you forget to switch it on your motor will overheat and seize
