Hi there i have put a new power steering box on an the steering wheel is out so i removed the steering wheel and put it central but it feels not right please help
I TELL YOU HOW TO CENTER IT. FIRST YOU WSHOULD ALIGN THE PITMAN ARM SLOT TO THE BOX(INTER A 6MM DRILL OR ALEN WRENCH) AFTER THAT YOU EITHER ADJUST IT WITH STEERING WHEEL IF IT IS OUT LESS THAN 12 DEGREE OR DISCONNECT THE LOWER I-SHAFT FROM THE BOX AND RECONNECT . WHEN THE STEERING IS IN THE STRAIT POSITION YOU SHOULD ONLY BE ABLE TO TURN YOUR WHEEL BETWEEN 1 AND3/4 T0 2 TURN IN EACH DIRECTION. GOOD LUCK
Can you explain in more detail on how it responds to turning of the steering wheel?
Ther is an adjustment on the steering link between the drop arm ball joint and the oppositi wheel . Loosen the clamps and turn the shaft with a pipe wrench while noting the steering position.
