Peugeot partner van, clutch went some weeks ago, since then the engine has run badly. i changed the egr valve, the air fow meter, the coolant temp . and the crank pos sen. she starts but runs like she is on three cylinders. i have cracked the injector pipes and she is getting fuel. she has had new injectors. i am now having to suspect the fuel pump. my problem is surely all this cant just go wrong after the clutch went.

hi,
As far as i know they are the same and you should have no problem fitting them but if you want to make sure just go into any car spares shop and they can cross referance the part for you.
But im sure the engines are the same as most of them have used the same engine across the range. As long as its the same size engine then you should be ok and have no problems.
Let me know if you have any problems and ill assist you the best i can

not all hdi injectors are the same and there are some tricks to replacing the injectors so be careful as you can cause saver damage to your engine if not done correctly.
as the other gye said it may be a turbo pipe but Peugeots being Peugeot it could be any thing your best bet is take it into a dealer and get them to put it on the PPS to diagnos it properly

SOURCE: My Peugot Partner Diesel van only gets 2000rpm max

First - I am amazed at the runaround they have given you over this - and all the work they have charged you for.
This seems to be stuck in "limp mode" - which is an electronic basic running mode when it doesn't get all the info from the sensors (of which there are too many on peugeots !)

The most likely to start with is any damage to the exhaust sections - or any catylist fitted. Diesels use them to reduce particulates, and can become blocked - causing backpressure and all sorts of running problems.

The cheapest solution to you is to take it to an exhaust specialist - and ask them to check it.
A bad knock can shatter a ceramic catylist - virtually blocking the entire system.

I have a peugeot - but after numerous electronic faults - will never buy another.

Other sensors to check: Coolant temp sensor? Manifold air temp or intake air temp sensor? O2...These will change your air/fuel mix at temp if they're bad...

I have a '98 Astro van that starts fine when cold but is hard to start win hot. It idle and runs fine. After it cools down completely, it will start OK. I was told it could be a fuel pressure problem and...

I agree, replace the Coolant temp sensor, it will have 2 wires going to it, Not 1. Usually located just behind the breather near the thermostat outlet.

This sensor controlles your timing and fuel to air ratio.

Ford Ranger check engine light. I had it diagnosed as an EGR Valve, replaced it and the light cam back on after about 5 miles.

They all say the EGR valve is the problem but most of the time its the mass air fow meter is at fault. So i would recomend changing that.
