P0102 refers to the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. It may be dirty, faulty, or have a bad connection. Possible remedies are:

  • Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
  • Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor.
  • Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor.
  • Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information)
  • Replace the MAF sensor.

My dad took my car into autoZone and the receipt says "OEM Number to Cross: P1140" What is a P1140?

Nissan DTC P1140 - Intake Valve Timing Control Position Sensor (Bank 1)

Check the passenger side Intake Valve Timing Control Position (IVTCP) sensor for 12 volts on the Black/White wire. Check the IVTCP sensor for a good ground on the Black wire.

It should produce a square wave signal of around 8 volts. Check the pattern of the right side sensor and if unsure of the pattern, compare it to the left bank sensor.

Potential Causes: IVTCP Sensor
Wiring - IVTCP sensor wiring/connection.

Hope helps.

2007 lincoln town car will not start or run properly Fault codes P0102,P0135,P0141.P0155,P0161,P0403,Pp0443.P0743, P0755,P0962. Help?

I don't have access to my manuals right now, but do this - google "Ford DTC code P0102" and see what comes up. Then do other codes same way. You will be sure to gert ideas, especially if it is a help site. I'll check back & see how you are doing.

Check engine light is on took to auto zone they gave me a code that said P1166

Hello there:
P1167 and P1166 codes relate to the primary O2 sensor heater malfunction.
there are two different O2 sensors, a "universal" sensor from Autozone and a supposedly OEM sensor from O'Reilly's. Both of them may cause the car to throw a p1166 or P1167 code and run rough. so i highly recommend getting a O2 sensor from Honda, and this will fix the problem .
It turns out that none of the aftermarket probes from Bosch or Denso will work on a ULEV (F23A4) 4 cyl. engine. Honda had different part number probes for the normal VTEC 4 cyl. and the ULEV Vtec engine and the probes look different and have different length cables. The computers at O'Reilly's, Autozone, or NAPA made no distinction between these two engine types.

O2 sensor needs to be replaced can it be done by owner

Yes an owner can replace an o2 sensor.
It may require a special socket which is avaialable at auto part stores

Below is a list of items to consider that are from an autozone site
  • The sensor is threaded into the exhaust manifold.
  • It can be difficult to remove unless a special anti-seize compound is coated onto its threads.
  • Torque the sensor to 30 foot-pounds using a special socket.
  • A sensor that is too loose or a cracked exhaust manifold can result in a lean signal to the computer.
  • Check the vents in the thimble of a replacement O2 sensor.
  • There should be the same number of holes and they should face clockwise or counterclockwise like the ones on the original sensor.
  • Installing the wrong sensor can result in slower cross counts.

1990 Jeep Cherokee Intermittent Starting after short runs

I think you are needing a starter relay. Part#33003934 at $50.30 from the dealer. Try getting an aftermarket place like autozone or pepboys to cross the oem number.

Service engine light

Good Day,

Code P0102 indicates MAF(Mass Air Flow) sensor circuit, low frequency detected

Code P0300 indicates Random Cylider miss fire, meaning missfire in more than one cylinder

The misfire could be a result of the mas air flow sensor being faulty.

Hope this helps for now

Let me know what size motor and if it's 2wd or 4wd and I can get detailed instructions for replacing
