I have a 1994 toyota camery and it has an alarm system the kids left light oh and killed battery so we charged it now alarm is going off we dont have remote for alarm and now we cant start car. how do we disable the alarm so i can start my car. please help

The alarm light will not kill the battery. Your diode in the alternator may be bad. This will slowly drain the battery. Replace the alternator. Or charge it up and go to auto parts store and have them test the battery and alternator and starter.

It sounds like you could have a combination of problems. But, my first guess is a weak battery. The first step would be to charge the battery and then try to start it. If it starts, then take it to a auto shop where they can check the charging system. If your alternator is bad, then it will kill your battery. If your battery is bad, it won't hold any charge and overwork your alternator. If it still won't start after charging the battery, then check the fuses and replace any blown fuses. If it still won't start, have it towed to an ASE certified mechanic. I hope this helps.

you wont fix it take it to a auto electric . unless you got a lot of time . thers a short in harness gonna have to trace each wire ..oh boy oh boy

Alarm system teake up no more power than the memory on your radio.....un less it is triggered alot. Pul the negative off your battery and connect a simple 12v tyest light between the negative and the battery. The light should fade iout. If it stays on you have a short in the car. Pull fuses that are always on till the light goes out. Might be your alternator. Goal is to get the light to go out.

I would have the alternator checked,if the battery is going down,then the car will die when the bake is applied because of vacuum lose during deceleration,and no charging system .Replace the alternator,and charge the battery up with a 2amp charge over night.

inside your trunk on the left side is a box for your tail lights this is sending you a signal that something in the rear is not right go check the rear bulbs one could be broken etc.

turn your head lights on are they real bright? if not the battery might be low and you need a jump

disconnect the alarm system from under the dash.battery to starter direct will turn the engine over fine but ignition system still runs through your alarm system.It's also a theft prevent system so your car will not be stolen.The alarm went bad preventing your car from starting.That means putting the ignition wiring back to factory.

This is a Direct Fault Caused by the Alarm System Starter Kill. Do you have an Alarm Override Switch???? You may need the Dealership to Reset the Alarm if not.

actually your car has to have keyless entry, it's part of the alarm system that is given you problems. I had a similar issue with my 87 camery, sounds like they still haven't fixed it in 96.. anyway the fix was for me to take the VIN number over to my local dealer dish out about 35 bucks and get the remote control unit for the alarm system. That also gives you keyless entry :).. So for 35 bucks it was well worth the investment.

In order to disable the alarm there should be a red or black button under the streering colum to left side. You must put the ignition in the run position, and then hold this button for thirty seconds it should disable the alrm until you repeat that procedure.
