1999 town & country cruise control stopped working

check fuses and relays connections--check column harness wiring / connections with a meter --clockspring failure--switch failure

Do you have buttons on the steering wheel for the cruise control ? Does your horn work ? There is a component under the steering wheel , on top of the steering column , called a clock spring ! I will include a video on it . Chrysler Van Clock Spring

THEY ALL FEED TO A SWITCH BEHIND AIRBAG IN STEERING COLUMN , THE CLOCKSPRING SHOULD BE REPLACED

There is a control for lighting on the left side on the dash next to the door. Replace it and the Gremlins will return to their homes!

What you have is a bad clock spring, steering wheel will have to be remove to replace. if radio still work's, then fuse is ok bad clock spring.

This is definitely an issue with your clockspring. The clockspring is a device in the steering column that provides electrical contacts for horn, cruise and airbag. The good news for you is this part is covered under a Chrysler warrantee / recall.

You will need to bring this in to get diagnosed. A guess from anyone can get expensive. If you have checked all the fuses thats about all you can do without test equipment

use a scanner to check the abs system . most of the time the abs brakes and traction control system work together. your cruise control . unit has a servo motor .in front right fender well. check the fuse and relay also the cruise control brake release switch. and the brake light switch.if all is good you have a cruise control module problems. dealer ship job.

there is no relay. both those go through the clockspring....

It happened to our 99 too, turned out to be inside the steering wheel. a coil that Chrysler recalled. It was a free repair at a dealership
