Possible causes
- Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted
- Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve
Has to do with the solenoid or wiring to the solenoid inside the transmission. You should have the problem addressed at a transmission shop.
The code refers to a fault with the torque convertor clutch. Make sure your transmission fluid is at the right level if the error code persists then have specialist check the transmission.
The stalling symptoms you describe could also point to another error. Have a look at the PCB of the main relay. Sometimes with Hondas the solder round one of the relay pins cracks in a circle. Often when used a connection appears good but a jolt or increase in temperature can cause a disconnection and engine shut down. If you see a cracked joint just resolder it.
on the V-6 or the 4 cylinder models, this would mean that your o2 sensor heater circuit, if you had this replaced the last time, I would check the connections, they may be loose, Good Luck!
A very common late 90's code, P1457 is a failure in one of the evap
system solenoid valves. There are 2 culprits, the Vent Control Valve
& the 2 Way Bypass Valve. So, start working with those and see if you can get the 1457 code off of it.
I also looked around about the 1739 code as well which a transaxle error. However, I've found that there has been more than enough reported cases of problems of the such. Take a look at this link, and do a little reading.
