On my 1993 camery (4 cylinder) the engine just turns over as if the injecters are not getting any fuel. The car started at first but did not stay started. After several attempts with it acting like it would start, it started just turning over.

Does it have spark , is there fuel get to injectors ? What engine 2.2L 4 cylinder or 2.8 V-6 ? TBI - throttle body injection or Multi port fuel injection ? Does it have timing belt or timing chain etc... Open the oil fill cap on the valve cover , have some one crank over the engine . Look inside the oil fill hole , can you the rocker arms moving ? Timing belt broke or jumped time >
wow ,6 posts, and even mixes 2 engines. all anon.
my guess. this is a 3 cylinder and is the Suzuki G10 , enigne
and has Throttle body injection.
what does "fluids out" mean?
leaks fuel someway, ? what fluid, name it. gas, oil, water,?
i am guessing that engine and distributor are all original. if so firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Distributor turns in clockwise rotation with #1 being on drivers side middle of distributor facing front. The cylinder layout is front to back drivers side 1-3-5-7 passenger side 2-4-6-8. I hope this helps you.
Ok. if you have made sure you have ignition spark at the spark plugs by turning over the engine with a spark plug wire off and held next to the block and you have also made sure your Fuel injection is pulsing and putting fuel into the engine, start from scratch.Pull out all your spark plugs, clean them off check the gap and let the cylinders dry out.The put them back, turn the key to on and make sure again that y our fuel injection is priming the system. Then spin the engine over.if you are still not getting the car to start, then you may need to check and make sure your camshaft is not broken by spinning the engine over and making sure you have spark at each plug.Try that and repost.Good luck.
bad fuel, bad fuel pump, clogged fuel fiter, injectors or fuel fiter. If injectors are leaking at o-rings on rail or cylinder head your sucking in air and changing mixture ratio, computer can't compensate. Try all these things before proceding further... also when cold thew seals may be holding but when warmed up this is can be a very dangerous fire condition!
If its cable throtle then clean throtle hosing on the inlet manifold. If that does not work clean the injectors.By adding fuel treatment for injection systems.Or remove and get them checked out.
I dont know what you have and havent checked, but I would start with the fuel filter. If that doesnt help, check the pump. Turn your key to the on position without starting the engine and have someone crowch by the gas tank and listen to see if they hear the pump kick on. If they dont hear anything, its probably bad. Im just speculating you mean you are not getting fuel up to the injection system and you havent checked these things yet. Sorry if im misunderstanding. Hope this helps, Clay
